Haha, that's true. ATI causes some problems, but with it's price range comparing to Nvidea, you just can't say no .
Sheesh, I haven't seen anyone complain and whine so much about losing a beta contest. As other members have said, it is only a contest. Get over this traumatic event, in your viewpoint that is, and get on with your life.
If you're so desperate over EQ 2, just think, you still have a chance at an EQ 2 account from the main EQ 2 site or other web sites. If you want, go buy some copies of PCGamer and you might get a winning beta key from there.
Please just don't whine here and complain about who won the contests or how the contests are conducted. A change could be checking for multiple MMORPG member accounts being created for the beta contests only. If that's even possible.
Importantly, you have no right or authority to judge any member based on their registration date or, even worse, their post count, as to who is worthy to be here.
Every member has a different reason to be here and shouldn't be criticized as to why. For myself, I enjoy visiting MMORPG.com everyday to read the latest news updates and developments in MMORPGs. So this makes me less worthy to be a member here than your high and mighty post count?!? I just hope the MMORPG.com staff will never side with your biased, conceited viewpoint.

Edit: By the way, I agree with Ramidan on this one kinda, but you have to realize that even if they only gave contest tickets to people with more than 10 posts a month, then all these people would make 10 garbage posts every month just so they could be in the contest, which would royally screw the boards IMHO.
This is one of the main reasons we don't look at post counts around here. As it is we had over 1000 people trying to cheat and create false accounts. This is something I can detect quite easily... If these same 1000 people decided to make 10 gargabe posts each this site and its mods would be attacked with 10,000 garbage posts.
Trust me, I watch a site MUCH smaller than this one run a contest based on posts counts...it was a disaster and their forums were completely wiped shortly thereafter because nothing made sense in their boards anymore.
This happens every time. With only 10 winners there has to be 11,990 losers...that is life. Our contest system is not perfect and will not select the "10 most qualified people" or "10 most dedicated members" ...if we wanted to do that we would have interviewed people, not based it off a post count.
Please accept the fact that those that win the MMORPG.COM contest are VERY, VERY LUCKY people - nothing more.
Just seems funny that everyone loves the contests until the day after the drawing. You read the rules they were clearly posted when you signed up.
