ANet has added Hard mode for EOTN as well as done a lot of other changes. Check out thegame updates for more information. I can hardly kill the mobs in normal, and now you got hard mode... lol. So what do you think?

Actually, I just finished beating Temple of the Damned in normal mode, and it seemed easier than some of the other boss encounters I've had in-game. This would be in keeping with what they did to normal mode when hard mode came out in the other games.
Murakai in normal mode was level 29. Other bosses before were level 30. Her NPC elite attack would have wiped the whole team in normal before, but not so now. They couldn't make hard mode much harder than it was before, so to create a difference between hard mode and normal, they had to scale normal mode back a bit and ramp hard mode up a bit, with the play before HM being the mean around which the new settings are balanced. I'm good with that.
Well, the updates look great, however as I've just gotten back from a busy friday night at the pub, I'll try them out ingame in the morning
nice updates
I looked at the update; it didn't say anything about scaling Normal Mode difficulty down a bit. I hope you are right about that, Serling.
A couple of the dungeons (Vloxen Excavations, for example) seemed nearly impossible in Normal mode for my usual all-hench/hero type groups. I wouldn't mind at all if they were made a tad easier!
I didn't know about this update and did the Arachni's Haunt dungeon last night with heroes and it didn't seem too bad (except for my near party wipe due to a rolling flame ball, lol). Maybe the dungeon was harder before?
Anyway, if they eased up the Normal Mode difficulty for some of these dungeons, I'm very happy about that, as I thought many of them were awfully difficult beforehand.
P.S. I loved the many references to the movie "Aliens" in that dungeon: "They are in the ceiling!" ArenaNet has a wonderful sense of fun that I greatly appreciate.
