Im not a WoW hater, I did quit and this is what I miss.

    some good post in there . seems every one has the same feeling i stoped playing wow in aug . wont go back on till new expansion . that will only be on my lvl 42 hunter  that way ive got no epic to relace as i would have to with my lock  .at moment seems point less going on only to alc all my gear next year   i think i wil just make lots of lvl 70 chars  i had more fun at low lvl than i do at  lvl 70  . my guild suck at raiding . but  i wont leave as there a great bunch of people  may not be the best but theres no one else i would want to wipe with in karazan (and we  do that a lot )shame because we all have got good chars let see what happends next year

    IMHO the big problem with TBC raiding was the artificial fence that was put up via faction grinding and key building aspect for 10-25 mans. Pre-TBC getting keyed for a raid instance was not all that hard. It could be done in a pug group easy and this allowed many people to "catch up" with their guild. With the TBC the faction grinding and keying up sections of raids have been greatly increased to the point that it makes it a huge and overly daunting task to take on as one person. This is especially true if you are not in a guild or don't have very many online friends to help you get the faction rep and key quests done. This is why when I fell behind in the faction rep and key quests with the rest of my guild after TBC launched I pretty much knew I was not going to be part of the "Primary Raid Group" ever. This pretty much killed the game for me and it's why I left WoW. Blizzard destroyed the ability for someone who is casual to slowly catch up with the rest of their guild in a short amount of time like you could do pre-TBC when it comes to raid content. Very few if any guilds these days will go out of their way to catch help new people up to the current raid status of their guild because it's such a chore to do so.

    one thing the guild im in is good for they will help players who hit lvl 70 to get as many keys as poss . at end of the day its all good team building for every one

    What I loved about when TBC came out, all the hardcore players at level 60 with full tier equipment left. I think from all my friends from my old guild it was only me and 2 others out of 100 who stayed. We pretty much all had full tiered equipment from 100's of hours raiding. Then we had to replace it with greens from questing in Hellfire Peninsula, talk about a kick in the balls.

    Aside from the e-peen factor (a tragic blow for those that like to compare sizes), this meant that TBC's content was all good for you, from solo to raid instance - you don't miss out on anything, most of the quests were worthwhile doing.

    It's a glass half/full half empty kind of thing I suppose (I'm being generous here).  I invested literally 100s of hours days played in Everquest, but because I don't play that game anymore is that time wasted?  Of course it isn't, I had a jolly good time.

    Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...
