Will Fury be playable on my comp?

ckoltaickoltai Member Posts: 30

Hey guys, just considering purchasing Fury and I'm wondering if it will run decently on my computer.  The specs are:

AMD Athlon 64 3600+

1 GB RAM

ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

I meet the min requirements for the game, but I'm not so sure that counts for anything.  Thanks in advance.

I believe so, maybe not on max graphics. But you should get  1GB more of ram.

Hey, thanks for the reassurances guys.  I bought the game, got it up and running, and it plays very decently.  Loading times are a bit long, and I get a bit of lag when I first zone into warzones and back into Sanctarum, but aside from that all is well.  To anyone with an old computer, get the game, turn your settings down, and you'll be fine.

Easy there...lol....I wouldn't go that far hehe..

Your lag and loading times will be cured with some more ram for sure tho.

Absolutely.  Fury IMO is the best game for casual gamers who love PVP.  I bought the UAA (yes, I'm a cheater, I know) and generally spend about 45 mins a day making a new build and running it till I get first in Bloodbath (usually takes 1-2 games now that i understand the combat mechanics).  Then I log off, play guitar, spend time with my gf and play with our rabbits.  On my last day off, I logged on and played for about 2 hours, then met up with a buddy of mine to go for beer and wings and curse at the Canucks for playing terribly.  The last MMO I really got into was WoW, and the only way to approach that level of casual play and still be able to compete in PVP is twinking, which requires way more time and effort to start up initially.

If I could convince my friends to come to Fury, I'd cancel my WoW sub in a heartbeat.  The only things keeping them away right now are the high system requirements for the high-end renderer (they hate having to turn down graphic settings, I'm the only one of my friends who doesn't care about running a game on full) and the fact that I was a bit too honest about the loading times.  Once Auran gets some of the bugs worked out and my friends upgrade their comps, Fury will be holding me over till I can try out Warhammer Online.  Great game all in all, yes it has its bugs, but all MMOs do at release... The WoW launch was absolutely terrible for server stability, and the classes weren't balanced at all, for example.
