in Final Fantasy XI

Just recorded my first macro and it works well (yea for me)  QUESTION: - is there anyway to set up a macro to shorten the amount of time it takes me to find and equip my hatchett for wood cutting?  I am just to slow with the hand - eye coordination thing.
