Can you upgrade your free trial, or after it ends do you hav to goo out and buy the game, also whats the difference between the 3 gig trail and the 5 gig?

Should be able to upgrade your account to a subscription. Login to your account via the Turbine website and just change your subscription status to active, and add a card.
I know that's how it works with a lot of other MMOs, but I'm not sure about LORTO, it's pretty new and I'd assume they would try and gank you to pay for the whole game, but ya never know, I guess. It's always safe to check it out.

I believe the difference would be one is the high rez client and the other is not. With the high rez client you can set all the graphical settings to max.
