Auto Assault + Tabula Rasa = Win

If they somehow merged these two together i think it would be a very surreal gaming experience. Plot and themes aside these two should have been one game. AA missed something. I couldn't exactly say what i just knew it needed more. Perhaps if they put those elements into TR this game would stand above the rest?

  The possibilities seem endless.

They cant. Not even sure if the 2 games use the same engine but even if they would .. it would be the same as making a new mmor from scratch.

I don't know about the engine compatabiity either, but TR and AA feel almost identical in gameplay to me. And many people felt AA was missing an out of vehical componant (besides being in instanced towns).

Neither game is/was very good though, so maybe combined it could equal mediocre. It won't happen though, obviously.

I guess I just don't see how that would be much different than Planetside.

I am thinking we really need a Planetside / Auto Assault / Tabula Rasa MMORPG with real MMORPG foundations with all the FPS foundations of those three titles.

    And, dammit, 1st Person view mode ! ! !

these two games use the same engine...auto assault was being developed and they switched to a new engine and touted it as the engine for a game being made by lord british. also if you played both games

    it is easy to tell.

I'm not surprised in the least. Everything about the gameplay and graphics are nearlt the same in my experience.

They tried to pass this off as a new engine? Tsk!

There are many gamers who believe that TR has lots of code from AA, that much was taken wholesale from Netdevil's work. Here is an interesting site--Tobold's Blog--and the comments also include input from NcSoft, but no denials.

I -do- see a lot of similarities between the two games; the constant fighting, the similar styles of play, etc. And a lot more similarities could pop up once mechs and vehicles are released for level 40+ content!

Oh, and, I miss AA. I was a player.

I don't see TR having AA enging a bad thing. Seems it's a good engine. But trying to bluff it to be something new that's something else

You're not afraid of the dark, are you?

hm a mix of those two sounds like it would appeal me.. I played AA for 3-4 months and was in beta for TR, however I missed 'something' in both mmo's. A combination of those 2 in one mmo would probably be something I'd check out :)
