 Cant log in...... everything eve online i get nada......

    I'm taking this an opportunity to finally install the 64-bit edition of Windows Vista that's been sitting on my bookshelf for the last three months.

    Yep, I'm going to take this time to make some coffee and stare at my digital clock on my computer screen for about 2 hours before I go to work. EVE Gives me headaches.

    I just got out of my noob ship and into my first friggin frigate. I was able to put a mining laser on it but noticed I have no shooty bang bang laser... I have no idea what I'm doing... I wanna put toys on it.

    Oooooo how fun  it would be if you could use your mining lasers on others! Can you imagine! The gore, the pain, the holes straight through your frenemys ship and - not least - the 5 units of Hemoglobin in your cargohold!

    and I'm all really new to this so I just remotely thought "hmmm a mining laser can demolish an asteroid, why can't it penetrate a ships hull?" I mean cmon its all veldspar... and is there a buyer for hemoglobin?

    I guess it would be unbalancing the game or some such if they actually let you hurt other people with mining lasers, but boy would it be fun... and hemoglobin would be fun to use in experiments with mutation and and and the jovians would love that and then we could all...oh wait...I de-railed again didn't I....

    So far it's being a huge pain in the ass.. which is pretty much what I expected.

     

    • Put the disc in, reboot to DVD, install, so far so good...
    • Install video drivers...
    • BSOD's nonstop
    • System restore back to fresh install, of course it doesn't work
    • Reinstall
    • BSOD on first run
    • Format the drive, reinstalling again...

    At least I got my laptop

    As for Eve.. my skill training finished three hours ago.. bleh...
