Makes me wonder the real reson some people like to troll CCP when they have such problems. True this isant the first time but every other time before they let us know asap what the problem is and they always do what they can to get things back on track. As it is it took 6 hours for this one to be fixed.
As to the comment about the forums crashing too well we EvE fans agree here and it seems CCP are finally going to setup a seperate server just for the forums which basically means we wont be left in the dark while they try to get the game server back online.

The IP address was from China, surprise, surprise. About time that country cleans up their internet issues, personally if I had a MMO, I would block all IP addresses from that region. It would be a shame too as I know some nice people from that area of the world.

Anyone who is knowledgeable enough about computer networks and security to hack it would have absolutely no problem figuring a way around such a broad ip block, therefore the only thing that would accomplish is to block legitimate users.
