Guild wars or everquest?

I'm no stranger to MMORPGs, I've played quite a few. I much enjoyed Runescape and World of Warcraft.

Now, I'm simply looking for a new game to play while I wait for Wrath of The Lich King to come out for WoW. I've narrowed it down to Guild Wars and Everquest 2.  Tell em what you think, or feel free to suggest another game :)

    My understanding is that EQ2 is closer to WoW than guild wars is. If you like WoW (I assume thats true since your looking forward to the expansion), then I say give EQ2 a try.

    The one thing I never really liked about Guild Wars in the lack of free environment. There is a path that you have to follow, no mater what zone you are in. Ever Quest on the other hand has a free environment.

    Well, we are talking about 2 total different games, Guild Wars = Skillbased, Everquest 2 = Levelbased.

    Since you like Runescape and WoW i would recomend EQ2

    Since you're getting plenty of EQII recommendations, let me play Devil's Advocate!  Sometimes it's nice to try something new; GW has a large PVP focus in the upper levels, and is more skill based than equipment based.  It also helps that you won't be bothered with a monthly fee while you wait for the next WoW expansion.

    I'd suggest checking out both official sites and deciding which featureset interests you more.
