Apparently DF has started to advertise itself some more now. Apparently it can be found here but as stated by Brannoc:

This is new. A few other sites should be carrying similar things.

It won't appear infinite times everyday.

Has anyone else seen any other advertisements for DF anywere else?

Haven't looked yet, but I can't wait to see what the trolls have to say about this now heh...

Quoting people doesn't make you clever, in fact, it makes you all the more stupid for not bothering to read the quotes you post in the first place.

They started advertising just recently, I noticed it as well. They are starting to spend a little money conservatively, it's normal for company to do that if they are close to beta; used mainly to wake up the community and to have them start paying attention.

    { Mod Edit }

The Darkfall developement parent company has taken a loan for 27 Million USD. (Aprox 29 USD equivalent today.)

The game has been reviewed by outside sources. Respectable game community members have played it, and vouched for its goodness. The game is real, the game is funded, the game will be released, and the game will enter beta.

Darkfall has been completely copyrighted, and prepared, by their company, whos copyright expires in 6 months if they do not have the game out. They can apply for 5 extensions of this, of 6 months each. The maximum time from now the game can be released is 3 years from now.

Its not vaporware if you KNOW its going to come out. Its just elusiveware.

Why buy google adwords when you can buy a banner spot on mmorpg.com for a few hundred bucks and get ten times the traffic from it??? Not to mention 100% targeted traffic. Makes zero sense.

If buying google adwords is the extent of their advertising campaign then they are in for a world of hurt. Who knows who even bought that google adword. It could be anyone. Hell it could be one of the wild eyed fanboys going nuts and trying to promote DF themselves after slipping into insanity after the 7 year wait!

Perhaps reality is slowly sinking in now....  The reality being AoC and War looming on the horizon like the dark spectres of doom prepairing to nail the final nail into the coffin of DF.

I am sure it's going to be real fun running around in Darkfall looking for people to kill only to realize everyone is playing something else and theres no one to interact with in a PVP only game. Should be interesting how long that lasts.....

Quite simply Google gets alot more traffic which means much more people see it and I believe if someone types in "pvp mmorpg" in google that their also in the targeted traffic. Of course they've said they're advertising in other places as well and we don't know if they'll add anymore advertisements.

Not to sound insulting but you really need to open your eyes a little more.

    Cartoon MMO "Bomb and Dash"

doesn't seem to be darkfall at all

so yes, i would think an ad on this site would be more useful

As was already stated in the FIRST post that they are not on all the time.

Also not everyone on MMORPG.com are interested in a game like DF while on google if someone is looking for that than its a much higher chance he'll be interested in DF.

I see nothing, It pulls up a few links about codemasters and WAR and UO but no darkfall. The only way to get anything darkfall to come up is to search Darkfall. Advertising is supposed to find you not the other way around.

Someone link me a site (thats not a darkfall releated website) with a banner ad if one exists.

So instead of spending a nominal fee and putting a banner up on this website with about 650,000 members, you would rather have the arbitary search "pvp mmorpg" show the name Darkfall once in awhile.

As was already stated it is not on all day.

Your last question was the whole purpose of the thread to see if anyone else has seen any DF advertisements.

"Internet search powerhouse Google garnered 37.6 percent of all U.S. search queries "-2005 statistics.

Google has ALOT more traffic than mmorpg.com even if DF doesnt pull up on all search queries its would still likely be more than here. Also having 650,000 members doesnt mean their all active or even look at the sight anymore.

I'm well aware that not all those members may not be active... in fact I would guarantee it.

However, if this game is as close to beta as procliamed, wouldn't it make sense to at least put SOMETHING on an mmo website that does generate some traffic?  You might search for pvp mmorpg on google, but honestly, why not throw a banner somewhere, and not leave that to chance?

I know google is used for the bulk of searching, but the presence of Darkfall is not all that evident.

Does it matter if its on an MMO site or not? Those who want a pvp game will probably use google or such a webservice to try and find one. It would generate alot more traffic if the advertisement was somewhere that got ALOT more people that are looking for something within DF's scope?

Why throw a chance when you can get a certainty.

    Also according to http://www.comscore.com/press/data.asp

About 57% of searche queries are entered into google.-sep 2007 statistics
