Hey, i thought some of you would enjoy this... its an old bookmark i found thats now been shoved to the IGN vault about player responses to the NGE even before its launch... its kinda funny the responses it evoked then and how the same feelings more or less continue today

Was an interesting read, never seen it before since I dont use IGN message boards. I remember those days, unfortunately not good memories.
I accepted a while back that the game is gone and even if we somehow did get a pre-cu or even a CU server it just wouldnt be worth my time anymore. I prefer to just look at old in game pics and vids I have of the old game, sad what had happened but oh well.

I have played every MMO that has ever come out.
never really went to IGN much,around that time i was orginizing sit in protests and yelling on the SWG forums.i cant belive the things in that post-"loot based economy is better"-"player ran economy is a terrible idea"-"the game was stagnant"-the combat was terrible"-ect,ect.
looks like the NGE target audience was out in force on IGN.looks like there all playing WOW now,good bunch to listen to SOE,ask blizzard how sweet there money is would ya?

Found that picture in every single thread that has anything to do with something that happened YESTERDAY or before. Yes it's old news, but come on now it's not like SOE/LA is doing anything new and innovative. So for the time being, let's keeping kicking and punching until we're tired. Or we see a Pre-CU server. Signs point to never, in which case get some exercise and give this horse a few kicks of your own.

Intresting that there were 21 pages in 3 days full of cautious optimism. I to, when I first heard they were doing another revamp after the CU, was excited as I really disliked the CU.
All that optimism went crashing down the moment I first logged into the test server with the NGE. I suspect that many of those people from this link felt the same as I did 2 weeks later on Nov. 15th /05.
