Just got into beta

Is it me, or are they a little late? I think the game is being released very soon.
Do they still need me to test things? The game seems like it would be gold by now.

The game went gold last week. The beta ends this friday. It hits retail next Wed.
and right up to Friday they'll need to test things..the wonders of patching :P...now another thing to check would be if this is the US or the EU beta..the EU beta just started considering they will have different servers and providers. So, beta for the game might still be out there for a bit yet depending on who is actually offering the service.
Yeah, I just got my beta invite as well... It almost seems like an insult to me.
"Hey come and be an elite (says so in the email) tester for Hellgate, just download this 4.5 gig thing so you can play it for two days, hopefully you'll get addicted and buy it"
I am not buying it (pun intended) I just got Orange Box and I am having a blast with that, even though I was planning on getting Hellgate, now I'll just wait a few more weeks or months, whenever I get bored of TF2 and Portals.
