considering 90% of MMO's are based on the pen and paper RPG its fairly easy to find an MMO like DnD (pen and paper).  DnD the MMO is a different story.  though it lacks the ... i suppose you could call it...the x factor (that keeps people playing) it does have a lot of well written content.  most MMO's now days have the worst questlines and plots ever.  its like watching a movie that has awesome special effects and (sometimes) great actors but it has the worst plot/script ever.   if MMO devoted enough time to turn MMO's into book like games (much like what pen and paper is.  an adventure that you undertake that ends up as a decent story) then people would stay alot longer.   i was happy when LOTRO came out because the story was great.  80% of the quests were good but i felt the zones were lacking.

in short...there are games like DnD online but not exact copies

    MMO wish list:

    -Changeable worlds
    -Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads

Sorry for the late post and the confusion, Yes I am looking for a fanasty like mmo and I would like it to be as close to dnd as possible but I know there are going to be no exact copies. Furthermore I'm gonna try out linage 2 and see how that suites me if it doesnot ill wait for WARhammer to come out.

Not to mention you can play other less humanoid races (ie +/- 2 arms or +/- 2 legs). There are -very- few MMOs, and none that pull it off, that have playable races that are no more than reskinned versions of the human race.
