Howdy, Stranger!

It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

I just got a beta key and I gotta say, worst game of all time.

Literally, its behind RS and everything.

Terrible graphics.

Terrible interface.

Terrible lag.

Terrible voice acting.

The story is like Pirates of the Caribbean without a plot...

Im sorry, I could only play for fifteen minutes after that I simply could not stomach it.  I now realize this game was aimed at 9 year olds.  But I wish I was aware of this before I spent 20 minutes of my life downloading, installing and playing it...

------------------------------------
Playing: Age of Conan Trial (trying to at least)
Played: Runescape, WoW, FFXI, Fury
Tried: LotRO, EVE, CoV, PotCO

Yeah I was dissapointed due to some of those issues when I tried the game out a few months ago.

Doesn't sound like they have made much progress since I tried it.

You are right, this game is aimed at a young generation. It is Disney after all. And the graphics are very basic.

You are also wrong, there is one heck of a story line through out this game, you just chose to ignore it. I have done everything from chats with Jack Sparrow and Capatain Barbosa, to trying to kill that stupid litttle undead monkey.  I have set sail to Cuba to talk to Tia Dalma, I have fought East India trading company soldiers and sunk a lot of thier ships, as well as Navy ships for profit and to aid my quest.

There is plenty of story line if you follow the leads. But I am not sure how well a 12 year old will be able to follow a story line when the quest are so broken up, you have to run back and forth several times to accomplish it.

    Not so nice guy!

we need a real pirate game thats fps where you can walk around the ship and man a canon and what not, that would be awsome.  If you ever played the pirate ship mod for garys mod thats what im talking about but without the bugs and much more to it.

This is why people like the OP should never ever be allowed to BETA TEST games ..  don't you have to sign an NDA for this beta??

While it isn't really FPS, you can man a cannon on your ship, or someone elses. This is not a broach of NDA, it actually says so on thiuer website if you read it.

Erm we're talking about different games here.

I also tried the "pirates of the caribeean" few months ago and it was simply, install play 2 days to give it a try and remove it forever from my computer... too bad the dev's spend so many time and hard work ruining a great concept that i thougth at the moment will capture many players.

It is just simply to put it in nautical terms a "wreck" in my humble oppinion of course.

All I can say, is I gave the game more then the OP's 15 minutes, and more then your two days.

You people that grab up beta keys meant to test  the game, not to log into an unfinished product and complain about how bad it is.

This is the problem I am finding with the current trend of giving out beta keys as though they are gifts.  I used to get paid to test games, and I loved every minute of it. And as a testing team we helped companies turn out better products, still no where near perfect, but cleaner. Now days they rely on the generic  public to test thier games for them, get incomplete feedback and bug reports, and bad publicity due to people like the above posters who log in for a short period of time and rate it as garbage.

For the demographic that I think this game is aiming for, I think this game is pretty damn good, with a little tuneing it will be a very good game for the younger crowd.

I have to agree. I was not happy with this game. I had payed for the game and got the largest War Frig in 3 days.

There are only a handful of islands to explore. And exploring them is pretty much turning your camera one way.. Then looking the other.

I have seen free games with much more content, quality, and even tech support.

Get this. To cancel an account.. you need to call up a Disney rep and have them tell you your account can not be canceled until a year has passed because I got a year's worth. (Thinking it would be cheaper) It is cheaper. Only $7 a month rather than $10.

The catch is I have to remember to cancel this stupid account a year from now.

Try to save a couple bucks, lose a bundle. No game will let you cancel before your long-term sub is up.

Bet you won't make that mistake again.
