I just don't get this, have seen the trailer in theatres, will prolly see the movie cause it does look good, I just don't get the backstory...
So we found this pyramid buried below 2000 feet of ice in antartica... And after exploring it for a while it appears the entire thing was constructed to be one big trap... And at one point it's even stated that the humans are the bait...
So how long exactly have these aliens and predators been waiting down there for some humans to come along and make the trap work?
Richard J. Cox
"There were much of the beautiful, much of the wanton, much of the bizarre, something of the terrible, and not a little of that which might have excited disgust."
No no that's not the story. They say "trap" because the predators were using the humans as one when they found it. The temple is used as a rite of passage for young predators. When they reach a certain age they are left in the temple to battle the aliens. If they pass, then they become warriors. Only this time the aliens start to overpower the predators and the predators try to use the humans as bait for the aliens so they can get an upper hand.
Just a little tidbit: If you watch Predator two, towards the end when Danny Glover is in the Predators ship, a display case opens and you see a skull of an Alien head

Ahhh, ok, I hadn't gotten around to researching the story any, just going by what I saw int he trailer. And yeah, I remember the skull, have been waiting for this movie since then, hell, I think it was shortly after Pred 2 that they announced there would be an AvP movie. I know it's been a damn long time.

I'm not sure i really get this strip... but the trailer made me think of it: link
I just don't get why the kid is predetor, then again I never saw those movies so i don't know the whole story.
I saw the trailer at Riddick too, which did indeed kick ass. I hope it becomes a saga along the lines of star wars, with that kind of ending they certainly could.
Anyway, I'm not much of a fan of horror movies, so the trailer scared me. It did look kind of neat though.

So there's a pyramid 2000 feet under ice and they all just say "Hell, let's bring down high tech fire power guns just incase aliens happen to live underground in an ice cave."
This looks like it will have bad acting, bad dialogue, and bad storyline.
Nevertheless, i will still be paying 7.50 to see this movie
NVidia - The way it is meant to be played
ATI - The way it really plays, if it's working....
