Ah hi.
I just bought Fury, the game seems fine but theres some things id like to ask. I have a high end performance pc, quad core, 4 gig ram, 8800 gts. I have the game running on highest graphics but the game seems very very choppy to me, playable..but choppy. I read in some review that the game was choppy for the reviewer also so im assuming it just isnt me?.
Another question, alot of players/npcs seems to be on the very lowest detail. They look like a big blur while some other pcs/players have max detail. im very confused over this and wonder if its a bug?
Oh another thing there is only 1 server available right now for Fury. I live in Australia and have a 280 ping with a 8m connection. Any idea when other servers are going to be released? I dont mind abit of latency but for a game like fury lagg = dead. I doubt the game is choppy because of my lagg...it seems more like system lagg to me.
Apart from that the game seems fine, I got really pissed off with the tortorial though that dudes voice and that chicks voice really pissed me off, i just really hated the voices they were putting on and how they said certain things, was really annoying. anyway, thanks in advance!

I think if you ask these (post the same stuff) on Fury official forums you can get better responses.

Osbourne Cox: You are the guy from the gym.
Ted Treffon: I don't represent Hardbodies.
Osbourne Cox: I know very well what you represent. You represent the idiocy of today.
Ted Treffon: No, I don't represent that either.
Osbourne Cox: You are part of a league of morons. Oh, yes. You see you're one of the morons I've been fighting my whole life. But guess what. Today, I win.
Choppy? I have the same specs as yours but 2 gigs of ram... my game runs fine
I do get some choppiness at times, but thats when theres LOADS of players around.
nothing from Fury side, has to be you...
I'm currently getting 200-300 ping like I get in other MMOS, and the game plays perfectly, and I have never once felt that I have died due to high ping.
What OS you running?
Me? I'm on XP.
If you mean the OP then yes, Vista requires a lot more resources than XP to run smoothly which is why he may be getting problems. I am running a smooth 90fps.
Yeah cause I tried Vista64 and even WoW runs choppy !
I'm reinstalling WinXP but x64 as we speak.
Im glad my card aint DX10 so I won't have to use vista
To the OP:
If you check the official Fury forums, there appears to be a problem relating to sound cards causing huge drops in performance.
So if you are using something other than onboard sound, it's probably worth checking out.
Im running vista 32bit atm when I really should be running 64bit but im waiting for the cd to come in the mail because I bought the wrong vista >< So maybe that has something to do with it. Thanks for all you're replies ill check into the fury forum to see if my sound is the reason, im pretty sure its a built in soundboard because I dont remember buying one when I bought this pc.
I run a second computer with the 64bit version of home premium (this one has 32bit version) and its caused me all sorts of troubles and nothing i want to play runs on it... The 32bit version works like a dream though, and has actually given me a boost in system performance on EVERYTHING I do... Games i've gotten between 10 and 22% increase in FPS just from installing 32bit Home Premium over XP Pro SP2
maybe u live far from the game servers lawl
me and other oceanic players have that issue with wow :S
Mine was so choppy it was unplayable, My spec's are not as good as the OP's However except for my graphic's card.
If you're experiencing unplayable choppiness, check for a process called PDVDServ. This can be running in the background if you have Power DVD installed on your system (won't be installed on all systems, depends on the version). it causes ... unplayable choppiness, especially if you try to use the mouse.

That sounds like a blatent cop out response.
Blaming bugs within your own software on another companies software? laughable at best. I've ran PowerDVD for years with no detrimental impact on ANY other gaming title I've played, so why would it react so strangely with yours?
I had no performance issues at all during my painful trial period, while having PDVDServ running in the background, so I'm even more skeptical to believe that PowerDVD is the cause, as it caused me no issues whatsoever.
I suggest getting some staff that actually care enough about the game to do there jobs correctly, because Auran is really dropping the ball on that regard, and this is a good example of such.

I would suggest doing a search of our official forums for PDVDServ. See how many times you see people complain about bad performance, and removing PDVDServ has fixed it.
We're honestly not entirely sure why it conflicts with Fury, but it has been the cause of a lot of player issues. Thankfully it is an easy fix once identified.
