I was thinking when i get my computer back up and running should i get back into FFXI.....BUT

From what i hear......

if you left your account inacctive for 3 months....then your key becomes invalid and thus leading you to blow another 40 dollars......so i was wondering if anyone thinks I shoudl get another on and play I mean i did enjoy this gameand maybe iut wouldn'r be so bad becasue I lost all my info so even if they didn't do this i wouldn't be able to log in....because i don't remember any of it......so if anyone could please give me there imput....and yes ram I am looking for your post on here  lol

Ive made plenty of posts as to why not to get this game.  Many others have as well.  But if youve played this game already and like it then theres nothing I can say to you.

And of you check enough games you will see that ramadin doesn't like many games. That is why you should not let his attitude affect you.

It is up to you on getting the game again. If you really want to then need to think if you want to pay for occassional months that you will not play. That is how I am looking at FFXI. I know there will be some point that I won't want to play for a while and I know that I will have to pay for a month every 3rd month to keep my characters. That is the only reason to do it. If your characters are not important then it is just like buying another game. Hope that helps.

Robbgobb I dont think you know what youre talking about at all.  What games dont I like? since you want to spew incorrect information.  I dont believe I have bashed any games on the boards except FFXI.  I have bought other MMORPGs that werent very good, but none of them were as bad as FFXI.  Thats why I believe it fair to warn others before they end up on these boards complaining how everyone said its great, and its garbage.

Your content Id doesnt get deleted after 3 months of Inactivity,your characters do. Which is pretty bad but they seem to have limited server space..I don't mind. If your planning on being inactive for 3 months save your character AND some money and pause your content id.

Ramadin, I never said you bashed games. I said you did not like many. That is fine and is you opinion. I never said it was wrong. I just said don't let what you post affect the persons decision.

I have read many of your post and like to see them but I never consider your response to be what will decide if I want a game. We have different play styles. I feel like this person would as well if they liked and wanted to come back to FFXI.

I apoligize that you thought I said you bash games. I think you are one of the few that just state what you want. That does lead to arguements with others but I have not need to argue with you. I posted my opinion as well. Bashers are ones who come in and say how stupid ppl are. I know you really don't like FFXI but that is not what I was trying to say. You admit you bash here but that seems to be what the FFXI section is. FFXI is a game that truly does need a division that is more geared toward the game appealing to US ppl. I do agree with that. The game has been loads of fun for me. Only problem I have is not enough space to keep everything while trying to make money to craft.

You're characters most likely won't get deleted after 3 months.  Every game I have played says that they could delete you're characters after 3 months.  But chances are very unlikely that they will actually delete you're characters.

I mean seriously, use common sense.  Why would a company delete a person's characters after 3 months?  People always come back to games after a few months, but few would if their character got deleted.

I remember a post a GM made a couple days ago in Lineage 2.  Someone asked if there characters would get deleted after 3 months of inactivity(that is what it said in the book).  The GM replied that chances are your character would never get deleted, it would only get deleted in extreme cirumstances.

Well then if you could be kind and find out for me I would apprrciate it....because I would really like to know...only reaosn why I would get a new one is due to the fact that...I lost all my account info and I don't feel like trying to guess it all right again lol...

I think I had read another post on here where ppl stated that their accounts had been deleted after 3 months. Someone said that Squarenix is very strict. I don't know how true that is but I don't understand why it has to be.

I have not checked this forum for a while because I have stopped playing FFXI, not because it is a bad game but because I have become addicted to another game and FFXI takes too much time that my work schedule doesn't allow me to keep playing.

I just wanted to check if Ramadin was still going around telling people how much FFXI sucks. And guess what after 4 months he is still here talking trash to everyone who likes FFXI and wasting his time and others with is ruthless hate toward FFXI. I think he needs to get a life, and stop spending all of his time telling other people that they are dumb if they play FFXI. Who is the idiot? Someone who plays a game they enjor? Or someone who spend 4+ months of there life writing on a forum how much they hate a game that they haven't even played in 6 months when I haven't played in 3 and I bet you anything there is a lot of new stuff in the game that I don't know about so just imagine how little he actually knows about this game.

So with saying that I want all of you to know that his opinion's are invalid, outdated, and a waste of his time and yours.

Hmm, I dont think I ever said anyone was dumb or an idiot.  At least get your facts straight if youre going to bash me.  And lucky for me Im a fast typer, so my time spent on this particular board is next to nothing.  As far as my opinions being outdated... unless they changed the char customization, controls, buffbots, lame looking chars, added mob models etc etc then the game still sux.
