Hellgate:London, jeez am I impressed!

So I was playing the beta for hellgate london this past week and I was SO impressed. First off, I'm sure I'm going to receive a bunch of responses about HGL not being a MMO, my only response to that is that if GW can be discussed here, so can this game. I was just curious if anyone else had been playing the beta or anything, and what their opinions of it were? Just looking to discuss it a bit, since I'm not seeing any discussion on here.

I honestly don't know what it is that is drawing me to it, maybe it's the fact that it's a pretty dark game, unlike most other MMOs that are currently out. Also, the combat is amazing. The fact that I can dodge spells being cast at me by hiding behind walls is going to be so amazing for pvp.  Any fans of diablo definitely need to check this game out.

    Yeah, it was fought against by enough people who thought it should not be on the MMO site, but for the same reason, it is as much of an MMO as GW and several others, it got its own section.  That said...

    Yeah, I played the Beta, and will play it at release.  It offers a fair departure from the deeper MMO's that require a few hours time to get involved and accomplish anything of value.  It is a good hack n slash/ shooter that you can jump into and out of with ease.  It has that old Diablo feel to it that so many enjoyed also, for obvious reasons.  I think that is one of its primary draws for people.

    This is absolutely a game for Diablo fans.  I played beta for Hellgate and loved it.  The draw for me is a huge amount of items, unlimited replay, and the potential of this game.

    I think my favourite thing about the game is its setting... I absolutely love the 'post apocolyptic london' feel... I also love the manic hack 'n' slash gameplay and phat loots. :D
