Until it's released it's about as innovative as a game of tic-tac-toe.

The promise of features is nothing compared to the reality of release day.

I think Richard deserves to be called the industry's Visionary.

I like his anti-establishment type of approach on many subjects. It takes courage to stick with own's vision and not be swayed by external pressure.

There is direct correlation between Anti-establishment way of thinking and creative thinking.

While Garriott and Long are true industry pioneers, I have to wonder about not being able to customize your character's appearance pre-game. That seems like a mistake to me, having everything random.

Also, from what I have read, they seem to be eschewing the solo player. Those devs who continue to ignore this substantial sub-set of MMORPG players do so to their financial detriment.

Lastly, the Sci-Fi setting is about as overused as the Fantasy one now. I want Fallout Online !

I think TR looks like a great game, so far.

Of course I think most MMORPG's look like great games pre-release. It's when I start to not like them after they have been released..thats when you can really tell who's been truthful or not about features the whole time ^^

But, I'll be optimistic! It does look nice.

Well until TR is released nothing can be said. However, it has to be said TR has Soul-Calibour type of fighting system for combat. Well it's not exactly that in UXO. TR has housing. I'm not sure if UXO has it.

Also TR is trying to bridge the gap between west/east gameplay style which has never seriously been addressed in MMORPG.

Go see Lineage 2 forum. Think of that game as an experiment. You will see culture of different gameplay style is an serious issue.

For instance, you will see there are a lot of "achievers" (pursuit of top level in the fastest time) and hardcore "PvPer" type of gamers in East vs "explorer", "RPer with unique look" type of gamers in West.

It would be wrong to generalize this, but that's been my impression so far.

Many MMORPG todays, disregard very obvious and visible difference in gameplay style from both side.
