Ok..I'm psyched to get the ball rolling with this game. But I was led to believe that as beta came to a close and sometime prior to the Halloween release, we would be able to get in, establish character names and given some time at least to approach the lvl 22 beta cap and roll into release...???
I don't want to name other games but several afforded the beta community to do this. It doesn't bode well that they say they will keep and open dialog to appraise us of events, shedules, dates and such, then put us off till, and I'll keep an open mind about this..light the game 1 day before halloween . That is if I can believe what they wrote on the site front page.
Has anyone any information that can confirm or deny this? And yes as a soon to be subscriber hoping for the best with Hellgate...I'm jonesin to drop some demon..en masse.....cya's in hell..

I'd imagine the beta servers should be open tomorrow. Since they said before the release. And I think they also said that you can pick up your copies tomorrow for hellgate london... Not sure though. (If you re-ordered at least, check the site if you don't believe me, or to correct me if I'm wrong).
Actually most retailers have changed the ship-date but not the street-date...I just finished talking to the brick-and-mortar Gamestop I pre-ordered from and no word has come down to break street-date yet. They're just shipping from their distribution centers tomorrow so that people have the games in their hands either later that day (after end of business day will count as the 31st) or the next day during normal route times. If they do break street-date I'll probably head down and pick it up in the evening.

So the question being. Do the retailers really already have it yet? And if so, are they going to fork it over or are they going to continue to bitch about street dates.

Experience in another project position tells me no, they aren't bitching but that no one from their branch offices has told them the change in dates...they may find out after store "open" tomorrow morning (meaning of course morning set up)

I was told I can pick mine up on the 31st, but I am going to call EBGames tomorrow and see if I can get it then. I hope so, or I may go somewhere else where I can!
I know we are all becoming excited about the launch. But patience is called for. If you were in the beta they are going to open up the servers anyway until you can get the game.

It was changed for obvious reasons.. 31st was a dumb idea anyway.. a lot of people won't even be home that much.
The 31st IS the day they are starting the event though. Not the 30th.
I used to work at walmart.. quit monday ROFL.. they had it sitting in the back. Reads "DO NOT DISPLAY BEFORE 10-30-07"

Dunno about the dye kit, but so far I've seen like three different places offer the games with the dye kit "exclusively."
Apparently nobody told them that everyone else has it too....

You can find them in-game though.. so it's not a huge advantage.. just pre-order gets them immediately.
So don't worry.. you'll be able to have the dyes anyway.

just an FYI regarding ea store direct download ... I just completed my checkout and you can download it right now (I am 40% done)
I'd assume they'll be up at some point today. Firstly, today is the last day before the game is released... They did promise that the servers would come up prior to release, and so today really is the last day that this can happen. Secondly, they also said that the servers would be up 'early next week', considering today is Tuesday it's the last 'early' day of the week.... Tomorrow is mid-week in my book.

The beta servers should be open some time today so that people who participated in the beta can reserve their names and get a little head start as mentioned. When does this actually happen today I have no idea. I am waiting anxiously just like the rest of you guys.
I hope the pre-access happens for us from the Imperial States of Europe today as well...

Servers will open on halloween, and Halloween is 31 Oktober, its allways been stated that this game will release on Halloween. While thursday is the day games normally release in the US, this game will release on a wendsday. Halloween it is. No confusion possible.

Keep in mind there is a singleplayer guys and gals.. I don't know about y'all but I will be playing it all day today trying to beat it before the servers are up.
Its also like 8am though..
So im sure the servers will pop up today at some point. then the world will have it live tomorrow
