New Maynard Project Released today

The new Puscifer album released today to mixed reviews. If you want Tool or APC, it's not even close. If you want to hear Maynard use his voice, he doesn't. It's basically like his voice during the rambles in Rosetta Stoned during the whole album. Even the most accessible tracks, Rev 22:20 and The Undertaker, were remixed in a much more ambient fashion than the originals.

With all that being said, I was expecting this from what I'd heard from Trekka, and after listening to it a few times, I've learned to enjoy it a whole lot. Granted, it's not as deep as Tool on any level, but it's interesting to see the vocalist from Tool make an all in all electronic, dark, ambient type of album.

Overall: 7.5/10. It's not the best I've heard, but it's a lot better than that new Jimmy Eat world I downloaded.
