Hello,

I have never looked into this game up until today when I picked up the box at EB, I find myself a little intrigued by it now, I like to only buy and play one game at a time every few months if need be.

I went into EB looking for HG:L but walked out with nothing but questions, so I have made this post looking for feedback postive or negative from those that have or are playing Fury to help me make my choice.

Thanks.

Personally, I did not enjoy Fury.  Not sure how to explain really, but it was just not very enjoyable.  I know there are plenty of people out there that do, so for those of you who do please do not start name calling simply because I do not agree, but I found the game greatly lacking.  Not enough substance, or whatever.  They tried something new and different, for which I applaud them.  But they fell short, in my opinion.  I am however enjoying HGL.  Really takes me back to my days of Diablo2.  Can not wait to find that boss run that was as fun as running Mephisto and Brem Sparkfist.  I am certain both games have their niche of players.  For me, HGL wins hands down.

Wow, exactly the same for me. HGL wins by far for me.

I played Fury in beta, since I was looking for a new PvP game. After 2,5 years of GW, I really want a change of scenery. However, Fury could not replace GW PvP for me. Fury is, at the moment, unpolished, and I personally don't like the way they set up PvP. Not going into details here. I once wrote an extensive post in which I explained. Not going to repeat myself. And yeah, we probably get flamed by some people on these boards who think that if you don't like Fury, you're an idiot/loser/noob/<insert random insult>.

I also tried HGL a few days ago. It has nothing to do with PvP (still looking for a game with some fun PvP), but it's a fun dungeon romp. Mindless fun. Enjoying it quite a bit.

For the OP: what games is best for you, I don't know. It depends on what you are looking for, really?

Playing: Final Fantasy Online: ARR, Destiny
Most memorable games for me: UO, GW1, LoTRO

    Fury offers a competitive PvP.

If you love a challenging PvP without mass grinding, without PvE but pure PvP designed by PvPers, Fury is the game for you. I highly recommend it.

Now that the performance issues have been patched and bugs are mostly fixed, you will love it.

Beware that Fury is not for the weak PvPers, it has a deep learning curve and you need to be good to do good in the game.

Ted Treffon: I don't represent Hardbodies.

Osbourne Cox: I know very well what you represent. You represent the idiocy of today.

Ted Treffon: No, I don't represent that either.

Osbourne Cox: You are part of a league of morons. Oh, yes. You see you're one of the morons I've been fighting my whole life. But guess what. Today, I win.

Fury Pvp is not challenging , It is nothing more then button pushing and heal spaming just like in GW who evers healler dies first usually looses.

This is no where near "Hardcore" Pvp as you have even less to loose here than dieing in WoW, at least there it's an inconvienience.  I had high hopes for fury but then I found out about this UAA thing where you can pay this company to have every skill in the game.

This game would have a huge grind if not for the UAA.  Oh and if you do use the Your CC in this game you're credit card info will be in there forever you can't remove it.... heres the email i got this is BS there is no such law,  Oh and you can't cancel the sub either you have to email them thers no button for it.

FURY was my hope but it is utter garbage, anyone that says otherwise is just lieing to themselves and you.

    Greetings,

Thank you for your inquiry.  Due to US laws (where the billing system provider is) it is illegal to remove credit cards once a transaction is made.  For any issues about such please contact our billing provider at support@ariasystems.com

Button smash 2-3 of your skills and go win against a competitive team and speak to here.

There is a reason I use all 20 of my skills. Any player who is currently on top use most -if not all- of their skills bar.

You get owned in a game and come here, then try to bash it. It's probably understandable if you are not a competitive person.

I did not purchase any UAA, I got nearly all my skills (the ones I'd be using, including 3 full class of trees)  unlocked in less than 2 weeks. How's that a grinding?

Go back to WoW, and grind for your Tier 346432 armor until 346433th Tier comes out. Happy grinding and button smashing. Just leave us alone at what we chose to play.

Fury is crap, and its a scam.  Yes you can play for free, but you are at a disadvantage and cant even be ranked or get ingame support if you dont pay, or sell in the AH etc.

All of that can be forgiven if the game was good enough, sadly its not.  Ugly graphics and meh animations abound, and you can do a 1 or 2 button mash fest and win.  I've seen teams just sit back and spam the same spell from a distance over and over and over.

    Waste of 50 bucks imo.

Translation: I got owned in game, so I work hard in forums to stop people playing the game.

    You fail...

Because playing in nice, safe, 100% instanced battlegrounds with not only no penalty for loss, but actually still advancing when you lose, makes you the very definition of hardcore.

A penalty for loss/losing is the skill rank above your head.

This is regardless of wether you subscribe or not, your rank can go down as well as up depending on your kill:death ratio. Lower ranked players will actually gain ranks faster by defeating higher ranked players but losing to higher ranked players is expected by the system. You will drop ranks though if you keep losing.

True, but you only get ranked if you pay.

I just wrapped up my trial. And I hated it.

I came into the game with an open mind, willing to try a new 'style' of game. It really didn't deliver for me.

Eve features a death penalty. Losing a prefix? Not so much.
