Hellgate: London or Tabula Rasa

I finally got tired of world of warcraft and want to try a new game. Should I play Hellgate: London or Tabula Rasa. I like the mechanics of both games and I like the art style but I just cna't deicde. From someone who has played both games, whats good and bad about both and what are they like.

    I would play Hellgate: London. It seems like a really great game.

    I played both and it seems both of these games are worth your time, Tabula rasa is great but HGL will give you more satisfaction, and its only 6.99 a month.

    This is not a game.

    HGL - But don't waste your time with the monthly fee thing until they have seriously fixed the Mp and adding in features they promised. TR is a piece of junk IMHO.

    Games I've played/tried out:WAR, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa, AoC, EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Vangaurd, FFXI, D&DO, Lineage 2, Saga Of Ryzom, EvE Online, DAoC, Guild Wars,Star Wars Galaxies, Hell Gate London, Auto Assault, Grando Espada ( AKA SoTNW ), Archlord, CoV/H, Star Trek Online, APB, Champions Online, FFXIV, Rift Online, GW2.

    Game(s) I Am Currently Playing:

    GW2 (+LoL and BF3)

    Hm, tough question. Why are you so fixed on these two? Maybe try EQ2 or LOTRO? They are much closer to both Tabula Rasa AND Hellgate.

    TR is an ok game, no breakthrough but may be enjoyable a while.

    Hellgate... I dont know... if I want to see zombies all around me, I use the tube (undeground) here, and i see enough of them, thank you very much. ><

    I started playing Hellgate London, and I'm loving it. It's not really an mmorpg but more like Diablo with new graphics and playstyle. I think you would enjoy it, and by the sounds of things they will be adding lots of new content on a regular basis. Also the subscription is cheaper then most online game.

    Also you can play it in Single player mode; and you Can play online without having to subscribe, just means you wont get all the new content.

     

    PS: the first lot of new content is coming out in November.

     

    I haven't had a chance to check out Tabula Rasa yet.

    I'd say get both. If you can only get one, I'd say get TR no question. Really fun game and it's having a great launch. HG:L is having a lot of launch problems and it plays a lot more like a single player game.

    Pick Hellgate London. That's a place for all the ex-wow teenagers that call that place their new home. Hellgate is free to play crap with inclinations only towards players that like to buy a new mouse every second monday in a month just like in Diablo.

    I liked both games perfectly fine, but neither grabbed my attention enough to make me pay a monthly fee.  With Hellgate, at least one can play offline, single player, but that might get old quickly.

    Both will give you about one month of fun.  However, after that, at least Hellgate will be free if you choose to continue.

    Personally, I preferred Tabula Rasa (tested both).

    MMO games played or tested: EQ, DAoC, Archlord, Auto Assault, CoH, CoV, EQ2, EVE, Guild Wars, Hellgate: London, Linneage II, LOTRO, MxO, Planetside, SWG, Sword of the New World, Tabula Rasa, Vanguard, WWIIOL, WOW, Age of Conan

    I uninstalled the Hellgate beta after an hour of playing.

    I played Tabula Rasa once in closed beta, a little bit in open beta, and bought it last week.

    So far, I really, really enjoy Tabula Rasa.

    So, if you are asking for opinions, my opinion is that Tabula Rasa is 10 times better.

    From my experience, and from what I hear from others, if you want Hellgate London you might as well save some cash and time and just buy Diablo 2.

    ........ atleast not as much as HGL... HGL must be the crappyest game ever... its so lame.... TR is way better than HGL... same goes for the graphics and the game play.. in TR u actually controle ur char.. as u dont really do in HGL...

    so true... diablo 2 is way better than HGL...
