Catch 22 situation. Maybe in a few years when the market has grown sufficiently that the risk of being different is less, then we might see something truely different.

I agree, but I think that time is now.

The MMO market is becoming saturated, and a game needs to stand apart to ensure it's longterm survivability IMO.

We will not see a "blockbuster" again until the industry begins innovating.

The innovation of WoW was a polished, working game from launch.

This was something that the software industry in general does not do.

    So WoW got people's attention.

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

Sony failing... pretty sure we'll all be dead before that happens.

Why don't you want LA to fail too? They are just as, if not more so, responsible for the NGE.

    *cough* Bullshit *cough*

$OE coded every line. $OE created the idea of the nge. $OE did it all.

LA was only an enabler. Hardly "Just as, if not more so".

I have to agree with this. Even if LA told SOE to develop the NGE ( and I have a hard time buying that one) it was SOE's responsibility to develop a quality product. They failed. Like SOE has always failed with SWG. Do you really believe LA told them to make the game have even more bugs than it did before? Do you believe LA told them from Day 1 not to fix the bugs they had in beta that still exsist today. SOE has always had a hard time working out the code for this game. Maybe their Devs suck. Maybe the code sucks. It is probably a combination of the 2.
