I Just Can't Find One...

ZythylZythyl Member Posts: 86

I have been questing for months to find my MMO, but lo and behold... I am unable to come to a satisfying singularity.

I've tried EQ2 and quit becuase of the dwindling players numbers; Guild Wars, loved it because of the loot systems and end-game, then quit because of the instance hassle; WoW, loved it because of levels 1-20... and then I hit a grind wall; EVE... too much to digest; LOTRO, loved the crafting and exploration side of it... but it was a tad tedious to go running around most of the time because of quests...

Call me a fussy gamer, but I just can't settle.

I'm looking for a game that satisfies the 1 hour lust for action as well as a 12 hour marathon... a game that has an immersive atmosphere with a large thriving community, who respect other players (no OMGODZORZ WTF BBQ), a game that can get me ready for Warhammer Online.

So far, to my knowledge, LOTRO is the closest I can get without a PvP system in place...

Please, help!

I am having the same problems as you. Can simply not find an game with can hold my attention for long. The last game however who did that was Face of Mankind, but duo to the lack of poeple it simply aint to much fun.

I am waiting for an miracle to happy to Face of Mankind (well the publisher cut the ties with the game, with is actualy an good thing......the publisher was Ojom...you know that company who made crazy frog :/) and for Fallen Earth.

Till FE is release I most likely have some fun with Warhammer for a month or 2 and Conan. Darkfall sound interesting however have not really kept track of it to make an full disucision on that one. However currenly..I really can not don't know what you like.

Wurm Online is fun, and have an good thriving community. With is needed in that game to survive and actualy make an difference. Wurm is however mainly focusing on building en economy. Fighting is also in the game, however mainly to hunt animal for meat and fur.  Fury for the poeple who like that type of gaming is also good. If you have not played Guild Wars, you might want to play that to amuse youself for a month of two.

Or, do what I do, just entertain yourself with some Single player games (Call of Duty 4 is released, Empire Earth 3, etc)

Yeah, I used to be like that. Then I found God.

Actually, I just tried EQ2 again. The playerbase isn't dwindling at all, in fact, it's growing faster than it ever has since launch.
