GIF animated (HOW????)

How go you make animated gif images like for avatars and sigs? HOW?!?! I have the talent and now all I need is the skills. Please don't spare any of the details...I could use all the help I can get. I need information on programs used to make them...preferabbly free programs. Possibly how to use these programs and any tips and tricks you have to share.

    Do you have photoshop if you have photoshop then youll probably have image-ready and you can use that to make gifs.

    If not go to the site below, the second program in the list can be used to make gifs, its called Aesop v.1.5 Animated GIF Maker .

    Ahhh yes...I do have Photoshop and Image Ready...back at home unfortunatly...I just never knew how to do it...or that it was possible with Photoshop...Thanks for the link image

    Try GIF Movie Gear. It's a nice little program that I use to make animated gifs.
