Does it worth it come back havent played since 2004. Was on a top guild cleric att but the constant stupid expansion every 4 or 5 months with little real value made me mad. Is it any better now does it worth it come back or still the same old shit?

2004? That was Omens of War era? Well, they are releasing expansion #14 this month, but they've said that they'll only be putting out one new expansion a year in November (for both EQ1 and EQ2), so the pace of change should slow down. They've got a new all-inclusive pack with the new expansion (Secrets of Faydwer) for pre-order in their store for $40 right now. It's a cheaper alternative to purchasing all the expansions separately. The level cap is going up to 80 in SoF, so it isn't really one to skip, if you like being at the top of the game.
Servers merged in 2005. You can find a list of servers here.
EQ is still EQ, though. Whether or not it is worth coming back depends greatly on how much you miss it, whether or not your friends are still playing (or how good you are at making new friends), and how the population is on your home server. There has been a lot of guild shuffling and re-shuffling at the top end of the game on the server I played on (Xegony), with guilds disappearing, merging, absorbing other guilds and generally trading players around, mostly in response to shrinking populations (and the usual politics).

This is where I draw the line: __________________.
-Constant DAILY server crashes, I kid you not, the servers from EQ have been crashing daily for about 6 months+ now up until this day. Every day you can expect to be booted of the server. They have no plans to fix this apparently, or are on a budget that they can't.
-SoF is the latest expansion, it is catered to high end TBS (The buried Sea) raiders
-Servers are really empty, and there are no plans to merge them. Botting is very common practice now, the majority bots a second or third toon.
I really would not come back to EQ, it is a sad game now. That's why I left, and I'm so much happier for it. Try another game like guild wars or WoW or whatever, and you'll have tons more fun.
Again Candygirl6 is incorrect!
I have almost never experienced a crash on The Combine server and have been playing steady since july 2006.
Servers seem empty because of the sheer number of zones(>400) but you will be able to find a group in the hotzones or just asking for one in the general chat.
There are some botters but a vast majority do not box.
EQ is still a very challenging game with almost unending content and great community.
GIve it a shot you might enjoy it again.
I am trying to think if I have experienced a single server crash in the past two years playing EQ.
I am serious when I say I do not think I have. I must have experienced one or two but do not recall....

I'm correct, every server (Except maybe combine, noone plays there anyway), crashes daily. YES DAILY.

These posts are so sad. Time to face the music.
EQ is dead.
Then you haven't been playing EQ or have been playing on and off. The servers crash daily, and they won't fix them.
No you are wrong. Take your hate somewhere else.
SoF zones have a crashing problem, not servers. And yes they will fix them, but that is anyones guess when.
I do not know about everyone boxing, although I 3-boxed daily and sometimes 4-boxed.
But I do know that around 80%+ of the population either directly hacked, cheated, or used third party programs or indirectly benefited from hacks, cheats, and third party programs.
As to server crashes, I just do not recall any. Strange.

The server crashses happen at least once a day. Luckily, I am usually offline when that happens. The game is definately worth coming back to. Especially since the cheating has stopped. The community is much better without people like truenorthbg.
