The Conan Stories [Poll]

I have read almost every short story and book by Robert E. Howard the creator of Conan and his world. All of it is really great stuff. If you haven't read of the short stories pick them up, they're a fast read and definitely worth it. The way he describes the world around Conan and the interactions between Conan and the bad guys is top notch.

Yup I recently read The Hour of the Dragon, and for my Christmas reading I have The People of the Black Circle and The Queen of the Black Coast lined up.

The Queen of the Black Coast is my favourite.

You can find alot of the short stories online for free (because of the age of the text)

Hey don't forget that Robert Jordan and a few other guys wrote like 20 novels about Conan in the 80's(?). Now that was some great stuff.

Yea the Conan Chronicles  (very dark, blood and sacrifices) were a good read done by him, although sad news is he died I think last month or the month before  :( he left a few unfinished stories which some authors are trying to finish off.

I just recently got into REH after going to his house in the next town. You know the, "you knew it was there all your life but you never go", and I went one day when they had the barbarian festival/Howard days and I was hooked.

So I'm reading his stuff for the first time and it is awesome!

Have any of you seen the movie, The Whole Wide World? It is all about him and he talks about Conan in it to the woman he is interested in at the time.

I posted pics from inside and outside his house on the Conan forums if anyone is interested here is the link with the pics.
