So anyone hear about Beta for this?

Since its now November, can I (sadly) assume that its more likely beta will be next year?

Dev's said game would release in 08. So im guessing yes, they just want a complete game to offer in the beta to attract more people.

Might be more accurate to leave it at.... "won't be in 2007"

Pinning this team down to a specific plan is tricky business.

    Vaporware usually have a BETA?

And btw...  Darkfall's BETA has been 1 or 2 months away for like 5 years now.  During the 1st of the year BETA is supposed to start spring/early summer.  During summer Beta will start October/November'ish.  In the latter part of the year Beta will start next year.  Rinse and repeat for 5 years and counting.

There is a potential to have a BETA, thats all that matters. Sometimes knowledge from watching a game is more important than experience playing the game.

Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

No official dates are given. My best guess would be beta Q1 2008, release Q4 2008

    Hmmmzzzz...

    1. sometimes watching a game is more important that playing it;

    2. I am quite happy to wait 7 - 10 years for a game to be released as long as I don't pay for it; although there's a 99% chance that game will be P2P.

I'm sorry guys, but now I kind of understand why some ppl like to post here and tick you off - you are too easy! You take every hit with a smile on your faces. Quite admirable!

I honestly hope all of you get free membership for life if the game will be released after all, because such degree of dedication is very rare and deserves a medal  See? Easy!

can someone please explain what the heck this means

firstly - potential certainly gets overused where MMOs are concerned - there is potential to have a beta in a game i might create - - - someday

secondly - uhm, makes no sense as far as i can tell

No, sometimes it is more important to support games you want to play, rather than play games you don't want to.

Sure, if the game has the qualities and features you want to. F2P or P2P isn't really relevant.

As for your "admiration", I think you are just trying to argue your opinions claiming your adversaries by indirectly naming people "too loyal" or "crazy fanboys" . It's one of the oldest trikcs in the books. But thank you for playing DF the forumgame

I agree. But what that guy said is quite different from your message, and I was commenting his statement. I still believe playing a game is more important than just watching it

It's very relevant: if it's P2P I expect much more from the game's content than from a F2P. I carefully select what I'm spending my money on so a game has to be that good to get the cash out from my pocket. However,  my comment was about something else.

Of course! What did you think?

Read what I said: "IF the game has the qualities". F2P general have lower quality I agree but if it has the qualities you want, it doen't really matter if you pay or not.

That you actually had some respect for your adversaries, sorry my bad.
