Its not a pain because it's here in this thread.
Its a pain because for the last 7 pages people have been arguing the same freakin argument and as in any forum, politics only pisses off people and does nothing constructive whatsoever but to harbor resentment and flames and trolling.
The Thread was constructive up to page 3 but after that its like:
Forum Guy: blah blah blah guns are bad
Forum Guy tw neo-con sucks death to all neo-cons and ban all guns
Forum Guy three: blah blah blah guns are good
Forum Guy tw >inserts three pages of liberal hyped media here< SEE SEE proof!!!
Forum Guy four: >inserts three pages of conservative hyped media here< SEE SEE you're an idiot
Forum Guy one: blah blah blah blah
Forum Guy tw neo cons sucks and so do their guns
forum guy five: >inserts chart here to prove firearms are as bad in UK as in US<
Forum Guy tw defends peace yet cusses out 90% of his forum mates
Forum guy one: blah blah blah blah blah
now imagine this stretched to 10 pages in length.
lol, this thread has run its course of life and needs to be locked. Heck any thread that remotely touches on religion and politics should be locked in a heartbeat.
Thankfully the MODs and Admin here are seriously considering this to be the case:

Why do you keep posting to a thread you swear up and down you want to die?

Because you only want the thread to die on YOUR terms with YOU getting the last word in. That's the real neo-conservative in you, demanding you have the right to silence others whenever you decree, and ranting allowed in non-political threads only when it's you doing the ranting about topics you approve of.

Like I said the last could of times you screamed for the thread to die, if you want the thread to die, don't keep posting on it.

This obsession you have with conservatives is unhealthy. I would suggest taking off the tinfoil hat, and seeking proffesional help.

They panic, so... just hold them down
    I could live like this
I'm closing in; hate all around
    I could be like this
Hearing them; them in my head
How can they be so sweet... sweet?

"I said the 9/11 Commission found there was no evidence whatsoever to indicate a working relationship in any way shape or form at any time between Saddam (Iraq) and Al-Queda"

Does that mean that AQ isn't there? Nope.
AQ is made up of many different terror groups such as Ansar Al Isalm. It isn't a sole proprietorship. I'm sorry you're having trouble with that concept.

"With that ridiculous standard of guilt"

That is no more a standard of guilt ( nor was it said to be) than it is a standard of innocence. It is nuetral until proven otherwise. This is why investigations take place.

So again, "YOU SAY the US DOESN'T NEED EVIDENCE "

    Where did I say that?

    Amen to that

This kid keeps on posting political jibberish nonstop for 14 consecutive hours all the way into 6 AM. It's like he has some unrelenting hatred against conservatives and he wont stop ...

Something really needs to be said to him..this is getting redicilous (sp)

I have just put him on mental ignore. I thought at first he might be fun to argue with a bit, but he is much too childish and can't debate worth crap. He just gets way too riled up. I would suggest everyone else do the same. Just ignore his posts and continue to post around him like he doesn't exist. Of course, he will probably claim it is some vast right wing conspiracy against him, but oh well. image

Wow. Just forget it. All I wanted to know is if we should have guns. It's a simple yes or no.

Leftie, Politically speaking, Shut the fuck up.

Not everyone is a Republican or Democrat.  Not everyone is a Liberal or Conservative.  Stop it with the Politcal Nonsense BS on almost every thread you post in, No one cares.  Honestly, if you have such a problem with it, write a fucking letter instead of sitting here on an MMORPG board posting your political views.  First of all, no one asked about them, stop trying to shove them down peoples throats. Second of all, I'm sick of you trying to tell people what the hell they are.  Your labels are about as inaccurate as you can get.  It just doesn't work that way, give up and find another board to troll.

Oh, and for the record, who gives a damn about gun control?  Gun accidents kill people, car accidents kill people...LIVING kills people.  We all die, I say good riddance.  This world overpopulated as it is, if 8,000 a year die from guns, oh well.

Before anyone calls me out, by the way, I hold that view about myself as well.  If I die, oh well.  I'm satisfied with my life.  Maybe me making room for someone else MIGHT actually advance our species, who knows?

AHH! Run away from the monster! He's going to eat us!

ok back to the forum topic point, lol:

I personally think its ok to have firearms. I have a berretta and a mossberg 12 gauge (I use the mossber to hunt with...lol, and yes I hunt for food and not the pleasure of blowing bambi's brains out)

I support the NRA because its a right as Americans, all Americans have (unless you are a felon).  However i do think there should be more laws in place to make it harder to buy one.  I bought my beretta off the shelf with a 2 minute background check.

I think the trick is to enforce the laws we have. Anti-gun types keep wanting to pass new gun laws, but not put the money into enforcing the ones we have. More laws only restrict the law abiding citizens. I would rather see us let go of laws which only restrict the law abiding citizens and crack down on those who break the law using a gun. In other words, punish the criminals, not the law abiding citizens.

I don't see any reason why it should be harder?

I bought my Kahr PM9 last night (Taking it to the range on Sunday). I had to answer a questionaire (could have lied, of course), then I gave up thumbs prints (one from each thumb), and then the dealer had to call and do a background check. The background check is a check if you are a felon, if you are currently indicted for a crime, or if you have any court orders against you for harassment, or spousal abuse, or stalking, etc...

I don't see why there should be any more. In fact, I have a concealed handgun license, which required a more extenisve background check then that. As far as I am concerned, I should be able to forego the background check to get a gun, if I have that license. Would have saved me $9.

    oops

I dont mean harder.  Just more enforced.  For example.  When I bought my S&W Tactical Series firearm up in Pennsylvania, it was very "fast" and not throughouh (sp).  However when I bought my Berretta in Tennessee, it was very detailed...very. Heck they even had an off duty officer there just in case your background checks pings back a warrant. LOL, that impressed me.

When I bought my mossber at Wal*Mart lol i know..but they have good deals; I spent an hour and a half in there because the manager literally looked at my questionnairre and then rechecked it. Then he took this plastic board with squares cut out and placed it over the form to make sure everything was right.

When I asked him why he had to check it literally 3 times and then entered into the computer he replied "because if I make one mistake and you leave with the shotgun Ill get fired on the spot."  This guy was the assistant store manager (and my cousin makes 80K as a assitant store manager) so I know he would loose a crap load of money if that were to happen.

So if my last two experiences where the same with every merchant, that would be for the best
