What is the most fun you've had in 2007 in an MMO?

Perhaps sadly, for me it would be the LOTRO release. I truly had a blast getting to L 50  and building a Kinship. I only played it for a month though thats all the staying power it had for me.

On release a lot of the quests were buggy and overly difficult. The fun really came because of the group I had to play with, I found a good group of people to do all the quests/chapters with. Made it a lot more exciting.

In a way I wish I would have stayed with it to have some MMO to play but at the same time I don't feel it would be the same fun factor.

Other than that no MMO has been that enjoyable.

What is your best experience or most fun within this year?

Um, err.. think it was the WoW 10 day free trial- 10 days free doing battlegrounds! Haven't really played mmos much this year, played Everquest but it was largely forgettable now.

I started WoW in september and I am having a blast, I just recently found the perfect race/class combo for me and I'm loving every minute of it.  I plan for it to be my first 70.

Most fun for me was probably resubbing to DAOC for the 10th time and playing mostly rvr on hibernia classic server.  I tried alot of other MMOs in the last year, and DAOC rvr still has them all beat.  Its kind of depressing actually.

Im hoping WAR or AoC will finally give us a solid new mmo next year.

I am basically burnt out on all of the MMOs out there now. I have played over 20 MMOs in the past 7 years.

My favorite was old skool everquest and SWG pre NGE.

This year, hmm, well i have to say it was a bad year for me. Nothing really had that fun you look for. Yes i played Lotro (in beta) knew it wasnt going to have a very long life for a player. Still would have got it though if teh price per month had been right, it wasnt, it was way over charged, so me and 4 RL friends (not including online friends) never bother bothered when it hit retail.

Vanguard was dismally dissapointing, i myself, lasted all of 2mths, yes thats right 2mths, before i quit. The so called patch's that came out in this time (and they wernt that many) tended to not fix anything at all, but break the game and make it worse. I gave up, i think my other buddies gave it another 1-2mths before giving up on it too. We wont be going back either.

So that left us MMo'less, i myself went back to play WoW, not been as good as first time round (think its because blizard made all pre-bc data useless, even the old instances there arent played no more). Naxx is getting a makeover with expansion #2, its going to be moved from lvl 60 instance to a lvl 80 instance, new drops and stuff for the place. As for AQ40, BWL, MC etc i think there doomed to be lifeless unless blizard do something to make them be played again. As for BC, most of the instances are also un-played (seems to be the big ones that are gone for).

Well i have also been in a couple of other beta games but neither were impressive enough to go for. If i have to make a choice though, i would have to say WoW, simply because its the only decent one i have played this year.

I am really hoping 2008 is much better.

P.S - Ryjal - from what i have been told, WaR so far beats Daoc for pvp. Which in turn beats everything else. I just hope they dont screw it up myself.

The only MMO I played this year was Vanguard.  I wanted desperately to enjoy it, but I couldn't get past the fact that the game was released unfinished.  So I guess you could say the most fun I had was when I cancelled the account.  I'm still waiting for the next great MMORPG.  And waiting, and waiting...sigh.

Played lots of F2p, gw, cox & hgl.

I REALLY like hgl. Left this last months cox at a side, but, perhaps, in a future I will come back. Its one of the best mmorpg actually.

Btw I try to test everything (beta/trial...) and I uninstall rf in 2 weeks, let gw aside cause comunity sucks and you canT be casual or you can do a funny pvp. So put CoX and Hgl for me.

Hgl is really new and some says that is not a mmo, got some problems (bugs) but I cant remember when a game become more and more interesting while you get in it like hgl, and got something almost I forgot about. Laugh. The games is rated and mature and then you get more "interesting" conversations, really, long time ago since I LIKE to read everything about the history, the npc's opinions and get a good time with this (specially with 114 and lucious).

There was no fun, MMORPGs have fallen, they are nothing like they once were. But if darkfall can do what they promise to bring, then there might be something to finally look forward too.

EVE-Online was probebly the best thing to happen to me. It saved me from giving up the MMO life style. Before EVE I played runescape for 2 years followed buy WoW for about 2 months. After that i was pretty much lost playing games like rappelz and silkroad. I really needed a game that didn't just involve killing the same mob over and over again. I needed a game with depth a game like EVE.

The only thing that comes to mind at the moment is when I played a new faye in Echoes of Faydwer.

It was nostalgic hearing the Kelethin music and experiencing the "life" as a young faye.. the music & the city was definitely the best part of it.

Unfortunately the nostalgia didn't last long and I ditched it before I was billed for the next month. :P
