What about the population?

andremaulandremaul Member Posts: 11

Hey guys, I'm thinking about coming back to EQ2, and my main concern now is about the population in the game... Is it empty, like SWG? Or is it full of people like WoW? Are there low-level chars playing or everybody is high-level already?

This is it, thanks :]

if you are expecting the EQ2 population that existed in the first 3 months - you will be disappointed.

I came back 3 months ago, made a new character, and had no problems finding strangers to group with or dungeon with.

getting a group in EQ2 is easier than getting a group in WoW

    QFE.

Yes, there is n't as many low level folks in the older zones but what you will find are folks mentoring down to help folks out. Finding a pick up group is easy, just a quick announcement in the open channels. Groups were filling fast while I was on today.

Well, I re-subbed three days ago and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences since my return. I'm playing on the Antonia Bayle server (highest pop server) and I can't go two feet without seeing someone. There are lots of people on AB and from my experience so many of them are very nice and helpful.

If you were to join up today, I would recommend heading to your local game supplier and investing the $39 into EQ2: Rise of Kunark expansion that comes out today. It comes with all the expansions and adventure packs and since the expansion comes out today, you'll find lots and lots of new players in the new newbie zone that comes with the expansion, the new race called the Sarnak.

Anyhow, I hope this post makes you seriously consider joining, it's been a blast the past three days, and I know I won't be leaving anytime soon!
