LF F2P Game (grind is ok!)

What I'm looking for:

  • A FREE GAME
  • I like to grind!
  • quests are ok too
  • gfx not too primitive (sorry no Runescape)
  • not too pvp-oriented, but I don't care if others choose to pvp
  • ability to progress solo (grouping not *required* at higher levels please)
  • and finally: a level cap that actually requires effort to achieve (this eliminates games like WoW)

I played WoW for about 2 years but am now sick and tired of it. Am still playing iRO on and off but I find it necessary to group at higher levels, so I'm looking for a solo game. Right now I'm playing MapleStory and it's fun, but I am looking for other games that I might like. Any suggestions?

    Your list is for the most part 99.999% my list as well :)  ... While I am not huge on the grind - a bit is not that big of a deal if the character you are playing has fun skills or spells or whatnot .

    I started with EQ way back before expansions and made it through 4 1/2 yrs before moving on to ...pretty much (almost hehe) EVERYTHING else Pay 2Play (swg,eq2,CoH/V,Eve,WoW,Lotro,GW (which is free), ALL the SOE stuff..etc.. )

    EQ2 is pretty sweet - I think that if you played EQ1 you may appreciate it more though ; When I want just fun and simple ,  City of X fills nicely or Lotro which is actually more fun than I thought it would be ....

    But finding a fun F2P which fits your list I have yet to do .... So let us know what you find , maybe a mini review ? Fresh look on some of these games that have been around for a bit now ...

    ...AND B4 we get slammed on the solo in a mmo thing , having others around to play with and chat or help out or roleplay with or even PvP occasionally is awesome - but sometimes you just wanna level a dude all the way up without draggin others along....

    Did you checkout Archlord?  Its free to play, has some PvP and a bit of a grind.   You can solo it.   Has weird gender defined class rules...so you may wish to look at the game first.
