The Silver Wolf Clan is an RP-PVP guild that will be residing on a U.S. [EST], Eastern Standard Time Server [GMT -5].
Silver Wolf Clan accepts all races. We are a Cimmerian based clan, but the world of Hyboria is rife with spies, and SWC has recognized the value of aligning with those that might be considered questionable. See our Lore section below for tie in information.
The Silver Wolf Clan is an RP PVP guild. Our goal is to build a committed community of mature, fun loving individuals with a no drama policy. Our focus is group oriented for the best overall game experience. Whether your play style is Casual or Hardcore, you will find all levels of commitment within our walls.
Silver Wolf Clan members are expected to display certain values such as; Honor, Respect, Discipline, and Trust. Once on the inside, you’ll quickly learn that SWC is full of ale swilling, bar brawling, politically incorrect bastards; although we are also jovial, light hearted, fun loving individuals that enjoy giving and receiving a good ribbing. We honor ourselves, our clan, our word, and our friends. What we look for first and foremost are people that will join in the fun and camaraderie that makes SWC what we are.
Those that agree with the simple principles outlined above will find a very good community within our walls, and will come to understand that the bonds that we share are more then just those of gamers, and transcend into a supportive community of friends.
SWC borrows from the ethic of reciprocity or "The Golden Rule" which is a fundamental moral principle found in virtually all major religions and cultures, which simply means [color=yellow]"treat others as you would like to be treated."[/color] It is arguably the most essential basis for the modern concept of human rights. We expect members to keep drama out of guild life as much as possible.
It should be stated that, because of our RP-PvP nature, it’s essential that we are driven, organized, and efficient at what we do.
Much like other guilds in the community, we are planning to build a city fortress in the outlying lands to spread the influence of the new kingdom, as well as establish or assist with a guild or alliance battle keep in the border kingdoms to stage attacks on our enemies.
So we are looking for dedicated mature individuals that will share this vision, and help bring it to fruition.
One of the words you may encounter on the inside is "familial". While that's not a common word in today's language, it's a pretty accurate one when used to describe the atmosphere we try to establish around our playing experience.
We're building ourselves around the group mentality. We want to play as a group. We want to have fun as a group. We want to hunt as a group. We want to quest as a group. We want to RP as a group. There really is no reason to pursue interest in joining SWC if the goal is to be solo player yet chat socially in the guild channels. While there is nothing wrong with solo play, constant solo play at the expense of group events or the group atmosphere of SWC is discourage. We want to be a clan that never ignores a member who comes online, and will always make sure to extend an invitation to join a group.
Role Play
Now we're not 100% RP. Our position on roleplay places more emphasis on respect for fellow members than on maintaining a hard-core roleplay environment. If members are roleplaying or if there is a particular roleplay event going on, respecting that by limiting "OOC" chat is appreciated. Other times, the guild chat channel may be buzzing with topics from game mechanics to personal life. Remember that SWC has a lounge forum where you can pursue any conversation, anytime.
We're not hardcore. We're not going to police you. We're not going to make fun of the way you're RP'ing, because you're going to be around other RP'rs. We're not going to slap you on the wrist and tell you how you are RP'ing your character wrong and that it should be done this way or that. We want to encourage you to RP. If you haven't done much roleplay before or haven't found a roleplay style that is comfortable for you, that doesn't matter.
Cimmeria: land of darkness and the night. War ravages the land; raiders from the Vanaheim threaten Cimmerian tribes with border skirmishes for women, weapons, and anything else that can be carried off over their saddles.
Whispers of a larger Vanir force have been carried over the winds, and two Cimmerian tribes meet to discuss options for their survival. A rare alliance was forged for the benefit of those that would meet their foes on the field of battle. The War Chiefs, Elders, and Chieftains meet to discuss the strategy, and together the battle-hardened Cimmerians choose their footing. United, the barbarians would travel to the Valley of the Silver Wolf. There they would face their opposition and let him see the might of their swords and shields.
Unsure of the motivation of the Vanir, the Cimmerians assemble and move to meet their foes. Speculation of why the Vanir would amass such a large number spread through the camps of the warriors. Some say that they were possessed by devils and demons… that their minds were not of their own, but simple puppets to the whims of their overlords. Others, thirsty for battle and blood, cared not to speculate at all, but instead hungrily looked toward their enemies on the horizon.
The field was set, and the two armies clashed. Wave after wave of Vanir crashed into the waiting Cimmerian forces and the ground ran red with blood from both armies; still the Cimmerians held their ground. Fighting through the last man, the Cimmerians attacked with frenzy and fire. They held the enemy at bay, fighting for their lands, their people, and their pride.
The Vanir fell at the Cimmerians’ feet, but the price was high. As two tribes aligned to stand as one, their numbers would be cut in half. The Cimmerians had won the day, but the cost was their way of life as they had known it.
When the battle drew to an end, the remaining Cimmerians noticed black clad riders at the valley’s edge. These riders were curious in nature; they never rode to aid the Vanir or the Cimmerians. With them they would bring many questions, and with those questions, a will to have them answered.
Recognizing the need for survival the two Cimmerian tribes formed a single tribe, and to honor the dead and the sacrifice of life given to preserve what they had won that day, they took the name of the field of honor, and so the Silver Wolf Clan was born.
Tarantia: The heart of Aquilonia. For generations Tarantia has been a melting pot of people and culture. The mixed races of Hyboria have ventured to her bosom in search of many things, including answers. Home to the great Cimmerian King, including some of his most trusted allies, and dangerous foes.
Secret societies of rogues, warriors, priests and spell weavers are known to lurk in her shadows. Among them is one of great power and mystery. Known only as Black Veil, the society is an unlikely mix of races that have come together to help vanquish those that they deem as “unworthy” of life.
For ages past they have waged silent wars, sometimes for Kings, sometimes against them. Their fingers stretch along the roads and rivers of Hyboria, their spies and assassins prowl the nights bringing covert information back to their leaders. Information was their main trade, and on one fateful day, it would be their catalyst for change.
Knowledge was gathered about riders of the night, all clad in black, making their way as far north as Vanaheim. Their trail was paved in blood, the blood was bought with gold, and those they set forth to conquer now follow... seeking vengeance.

So many good movies coming out, but a front runner for me is No Country For Old Men. You have to give the Coen brothers props for knowing their craft, they are brilliant film makers.
Its already getting awesome reviews as one of the if not the best film of the year. Cant wait to see this one.

Your guild sounds great! To be honest, until we have a definative word on FFA PvP looting type, I just can't apply for a guild atm. I'd hate to become part of a guild only to quit because of a ruleset I don't believe in. To me, with full looting still on the table for RPVP servers, I just can't make the commitment. Full looting, imho, is just bad for business.
Once they finalize the rulesets and it is to my liking, I'll check you guys out.
