It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!
You can put ur own tips these are some ive seen and learned first hand.
1) The auction house is not a great idea. While its nice to get armor and stuff it takes way to much time. You will be allright without it from quest rewards and loot etc... But it does have up side. I had really good green armor at lvl 15 and all greens by lvl 20. My suggestion is go there every few lvl like 3-5. The auction house being bad only really applies to people who dont have alot of time. Otherwise its ok.
2) Get a gathering profession. This might be a newer one but ive made quiet alot of money off my mining. But this also works with Skining & Herbalist and what ever else there is.
1.5 & 2.5) Auction house without a gathering profession. This wouold be my only REAL exception to the AH If u are a talior and enchanter for example and dont wont to get a gathering profession, then go to the AH maybe with 10-100g or whatever (depends how much u want to buy) and buyout all of the Copper bars, linen cloth, etc... (better off getting the cheaper ones first, plus it gives more reason for people to buy yours because theres nothing cheaper) Then go back and sell it for the highest buyout u spent for example 1st stack was 1g, 2nd stack was 1g 25s, 3rd stack was 1g 50s etc... now go back and sell all 3 stacks for a buyout of 1g 50s. It keeps it cheap and people will buy it like i said because yours is the cheapest.
3) Quests are your only true friend. QUESTS are, in my opionin, the number one thing there is to level. SO USE THEM. Doing one quest could be as much xp as kiliing 4-5 elites. While that might sound low the quest xp gets higher. On top of that most quests have you kill those or other things then you get that xp and the xp for finishing it. Plus they give you good gear/money to.
4) Try and stay in your own area. This might sound weird but its true to an extent. I have a Dranie shaman (srry 4 name). He is the only shaman on the alliacne. So there arent many trainers. So leaving your area might meen going all they way back to the main city to get your new powers. So i would stay close if i were u. But at level 20 i run out of luck because that area ends. So i have to move to somewere else. This really doesnt apply unless ur a warrior or something because there will be those trainers every where. But go back because sometimes u get class quests and are only obtaniable at your main town.
5) Have FUN. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT. The game is not fun quest after quest, death after death etc... So take a brake.......from the game complety. Maybe look up something you might want to do. Maybe find a goal for your self (make it reasonble). Maybe get a few levels and get a new power. But if getting off isnt your style then try playing differnt things like a raid or hang out with ur guild or something.
Thx for reading this all, i no its alot but if u liked the tips feel free to coment. Also go ahead and addur own if ud like.

If you want to never mindlessly grind - travel around to quest
Shaman are the *only* alliance class that don't have many trainers (Exodar and Stormwind)

really i c wat ur saying and i put the dranie are the only shamans
this may sound weird but i find it to be true:
play on a server with no RL friends
dont really worry about your level, just travel around, quest when you feel like it, or group when you want to
never plan ahead
game got boring for me as soon as my friends all started playing, then it turned into a leveling race, a race for epics, and then just a complete borfest
first it was a game, then it turned to a job
that does sound weird but i agree i played by myself now im 'playing' with my friend.
Staying in your own area may be a bad idea for grinding up a char. The Night elves startying areas are some of the worst. However, I do agree about obtaining a gathering profession. Very good money in gathering
