Would it be a smart thing to get 2 accounts and have one be a miner the other to use for combat??

Should a miner also have a rig to haul things in and the appropait skills for that?

Can i get some pointers and any suggestions for corporations?

You are starting way down the learning curve.... there's lots of published guides which will help if you just search for them in Google.... one great one for you to start with is this miner's guide...will tell you everything you want to know.

Cool ship eh?  Thats hard to say... you'll get nice frigates to fight with just by completing the tutorial.

Another great tip...create you pilot right the first time..... check this guide out....

It would be a smart idea, yes, as you'll obviously be able to specialise in those things and train what you want more efficiently.

I wouldn't worry about 2 accounts off the start, Since early on you won't be able to have the Isk production to cover the skills for both accounts. I would start with with the combat pilot get into the Game, gain some isk then look at starting the second account in a month or 2. By then you should have enough isk to be able to support your second account with skills or you may decide that you don't need a second account at that time.

As for getting into a cool ship that depends on which ship you consider to be cool. If you want to fly the Big Capitals then your looking at at least 6 months closer to a year. If you want something smaller like a T2 frig it could be as little as a few weeks.

since when can you buy skills with isk? i can mine for skills now?

You always have to buy a skill book when learning a -new- skill.  If you have a skill, you just select it and start learning to raise it to the next level.  But when you want a skill that you don't have, you have to buy it.  So basically that's what it means.. mine for money to buy skills.

I have 2 accounts in eve so that I can skill 2 at once but mining does not make that much money I make more money doing kill missions than mining. I just go do a mission complete it then go back with my other ship equiped with 4 salvagers and 4 tractor beams and get every penny I can. Takes no time this way and it is 10 time faster than my other ship. It is pretty easy to rack up millions and millions of ISK even on lvl 1 and 2 missions let alone level 4s.

Well, i use two Accounts too, but only because i am so damn lazy and use it as a salvager and looter to clear the belts when i make some isk. Never ever used that alt for anything else ad it probably doesnt even pay off (200M ISK per month..)..

But a new player does not need an alt. First you have to learn the game, then you can bother getting an alt if you really think you can finance and use it.

You dont buy other games twice either, do you?
