Are you still running a 286 on a 14k modem? Thats' the only way Xfire would effect your gaming experience, it's designed to be used with online games, that's the whole point of it. It's bandwidth use is tiny, it has voice chat support all on it's own, so there's no point having TS or Vent running at the same time as it anyway, but if you must know I've had TS running (full 40 man raid), Xfire and Commrade all running while being part of a full raid in WoW with no effect on performance. Hell in the past in SWG I've had multiple instances of the game running (3-4 accounts), Xfire and Vent with no effect on performance.

"Serious MMO players" know what their hardware can do, and they know Xfire's designed from the ground up to work with online games without effecting performance in any way, do some research before posting off the top of your head in future.

Can't counter an argument with a valid discussion point? Fishermage(aka Fisherprice) recommends you cut and paste: ad hominem

  • When I run Teamspeak, it's 100+ people in a fleet channel.  In EVE you trim anything that you possibly can that would contribute to lag.
