Is it worth it?

Hey everyone,

  I am lookign into this game and was wonderign if  anyone could answer some of my questions plz... I have played star wars galaxies and everquest and liked them alot. i was lookign into  playing a similar game for the summer... is htis game similar to them... i loved everquest i am lookign forward to everquest 2 but cant wait thta long lol.. i wish i didnt cancel my EQ account had a 60war lol dam i miss him... well i was wondering if anyone could possible send me a im at Numba11z@aol.com for some quick questions would really appreate it... thanks   image

    you're gonna get mixed reactions to this.

    While I think its the biggest piece of crap ever to destine the mmorpg market second only to The Sims, other people will swear it's good, heart felt entertainment.  And some are sorta stuck in between.

    The only way  is to buy the game and try it for yourself as everyone is different to how they like a game.

    People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

    Let me give you an accurate reply.

    I played this game for... 2 months. Waste of my time if you ask me. Why you might ask? I'll tell you.

    Argument 1) The leveling grind. This leveling grind if far worse than any other game I have ever played. It is absolutely horrible. Not only that but they don't even attempt to soften it up with quests and the like. Teaming is useless.. you get less EXP than you do solo, and not to mention, unless you are an archer, you are forced to team at later levels.

    Argument 2) If you are not an archer, you are not going to win. The Dark Elven Phantom Ranger is the best class. The Elven Silver Ranger follows him in second. I have seen a korean PvP movie where a Phantom Ranger took out four of the five people in it, one being a Silver Ranger. Ok, let me explain. In PvP tornaments held in Korea, there are two teams of five on five combatants. One player from each team starts. When one person dies, another person from the team of the person who dies fights the person who killed him. This goes non stop until one team is dead. Sounds like fun no? Not if your a class other than a ranger it isn't...

    Argument 3) Customer Server is crap. I don't feel I have to say more... However, let me say this : The GMs sound as if they are  helping you from a wireless laptop in the middle of english class. They can NOT speak the language. They misspell everything and just get under your skin. Not to mention, they do nothing about anything either. E-mail support = crap. No further questions.

    Argument 4) Botters and chinese/korean adena farmers. Go to Ebay and search... Kain Adena. Kain being the name of a server and adena being the currency, see what you get.

    Argument 5) Botters return. Some don't want to farm adena, but just play while they aren't there to get the advantage (most people). There is this site I ran across sometime ago, I will not posts its name, but the site cracked a chinese lineage II bot. The bot was godly. I managed to get it from them to see how it worked. It did everything for me. It would even return to town and get more potions or arrows if I needed them. It worked for every class, even mages.

     

    So you see, Lineage II is full of so many problems that it is about to explode, and I hope it does. Enjoy.

    hi.. since u got already the ying of lineage revealed to you, i will try to show some of the yang.. =P

    well, for starters its build on ut engine, n the graphics are the best ever seen on ANY mmorpg or solo entretainement game i hav played till now..

    u hav lots of stuff 2 kill till u get lvl 35+, only then u start to be aware of the trully potencial of the beta ver

    the historical events reguarding the past of the aden history are easly confirmed by the amount of ruins one can find explorin Aden.

    this is a bit chaotic mmorpg, but u hav lots o space for rpg if u find the right party..

    dont forget that the critics are based on open beta, not fullversion (cron1) 

    ....and it seems 2 m that most of the negative reviews hav an interesting common point, if u make a quick perception roll u can see that most of them come from youngTeens that give strenght 2 the adena inC cause they buy lots of adena on ebay (adena is the game money), n to compensate they criticise all thats been checked during beta vers along time ago...

    i hav 2 say that my eng aint the best, so any mistakes from interpretating the text may accur, sure hope not, but one never knows..

    Portugal is tha best team on euro04, just owned england n the rest will b a piece a cake..lol  FOR
