Funny in an America's Funniest Home Videos kinda way.. I was sorta disappointed you can't see the paintball. You know.. if you hadn't mentioned the paintball in the title, you could have called it like 'Magic Missile' or something..

I call fake. I know if I did that I would show the wound. A paintball shot to the head would have you on the floor.

I shot a bloke in the head at half that distance, it didnt drop him.  They hurt like hell but theres no way a paintball would drop you unless your some sort of wuss.

If it's not fake then the little kid who did the shooting was both a great shot, and a moron...he could have blinded his brother.

Yeah, I'm calling fake too. Especially since I was shot in the face, at point blank range, and I laughed my ass off afterwards. I think I might even have the video clip still.

 

   Regardless, my face was numb afterwards, and I did have a mask on, but still, I can't see a re-action like that, even without a mask.

One of my friends got shot at point-blank range in the balls. That was fun... Another time he shot himself in the arm just for the heck of it. There was this horrid purple welt on his arm. I got shot in the legs (with jeans on I think) from 30-40 feet away and it still left bruises. It just depends on the speed of your firearm. Some models you can tweak with an allen wrench; cheaper ones you can't.

How was your face numb if you wore a mask? Did the mask break away?

There was a new guy with us this one time, and the game was about to start. We were playing in some woods in the neighborhood. I was sitting this one out and just watching the action unfold. The guy had shorts and a light t-shirt on. His firearm of choice: a slingshot...  The only thing the other three people had were tipman 98 customs and stingrays. As I watched them all march up the path into the forest I heard, "Now!" There was the sound of rapid firing, some school-girl screaming, and quite a few French words strung colorfully together. It just so happened everyone had turned on the poor guy before the game, blasting the heck out of him almost at point-blank. He wasn't very happy.

The guy was alright, but I had no idea what was going on at the time. I just sat back and put my mask on. It was over soon enough.

I remember around 15 years ago, back when I still "smoked" .....

 

We were at an outdoor field, and I was plenty smoked up.....   I thought my rifle had misfired.  I fired about ten shots to the ground, and it appeared to be just shooting air and the broken paint inside the barrel....

I couldn't tell for sure, so in my wisdom I thought, "I'll put my finger in front of the barrel, and I'm just going to feel air...."

Wrong.   Shot my finger from point-blank range.      Man, did that hurt.....   It left a hell of a bruise on the finger for about two weeks.....   

Never did that again.  

 

On a more related note:   I have an old video of a friend's little brother getting hit in the face with a paint-ball.   He thought he was too cool to wear a face-mask.    It left a hell of a welt right next to his mouth.  He wore the mask after that.....      I'll have to find that video.   But it certainly didn't drop him....  Just made him cry a little....
