i am going to buy a new computer and i'd like to play a mmo till wow and gw comes out,6 maybe i can find eve second hand around here, so which would you advice

i'd like to be some shaggy space pirate, some say the game is way too complicated,6 is it so,6 i really want to play such a game at least for a while, but its pretty pvp based, would i like keep dying over and over, if it is so i dont want that and on the other hand ffxi is in the final fantasy world which i love

simply because you can do solo things if you want in EVE...in FFXI you can forget about that.

an there is an eve trial i think, but no ffxi6, so i'll try eve than maybe find a beta game

Play Anarchy Online. You can d/l the game and play it for 30 days free if i'm not mistaken. that should hold u up till WoW comes out .. But then again AO might be better than WoW so I don't know if it's a good one to do.

FFXI will intrigue you with it's UBER graphics, but piss you off with it's level grind and LACK-O-STUFF to do.

haven't played EVE though.. so don't know

Neither. Go for Lineage 2. It's I-kick-your-sorry-ass game.

But I have to say EVE has kick-ass graphics as well.

Some will msv watching flying objects in space. That's how good EVE's graphics is.

Personally, I've played both and I wouldn't suggest either. FFXI is ok, takes till higher levels to get into it. And if you like sitting infront of a rock for hours extracting ore, go for EVE.

i played ao before, was good broad game and all but there were soo man people way high lvled and no one was helping so i quit

I suggest CoH or RO (which is very very solo oriented with lots of jobs/classes). I loved CoH, good graphics, lots of skills, great combat, EASY to find a team, and ther's almost always low level people to team with. Plus there's a great expansion on the way.

FFXI is horrible, Lineage 2 is worse, I would go with CoH.  Action packed, no problems grouping, lots of fun and should tide you over.

If you liked graal (if you've played) L2 would be good for ya, I didn't like it, too much grief. FFXI is good for role players, but combat is pretty limited, grouping is fairly limited, leveling... I guess if you're new to FFXI, level 3 in two hours is pretty good (not that but, it's bad).

im in eve atm. u would like eve more i think. if u dont know how to play at all send me a pm and i can get u into a mining corp. we all do pretty much everything grouped up. this is my first month with this account and have been making millions. if you dont like to mine thats cool cause there are lots of rats to kill around us while we are mining. a few of our corp guys can build all the ships so it is the cheapest around. i have not had problems with any other member in this corp. all of the ones i have met have always been willing to help out. if ur interested sent me a pm or check out our peace keeping mining corp site

between the two games you mentioned, i would go with FFXI myself.  but honestly niether of them are worth playing heh. i played eve in beta and its just boring the extracting ore last a few hours till it was boring... trade routes close before you even make it to the place. and flying around wasnt actually flying around you click point A to point B and having to zone 20 times to make a destination was oh so boring. FFXI was fun for the 1st 30 levels fishing crafting smooth gameplay. but after level 30 it was just waaay to much work finding a group, money is hard to comeby  no soloing at all and there is no end game here. not to mention most people arent english and wouldnt group with you.

thats just my opinion. right now im pretty much hoping for anything to be released im bored of all the current mmorgps. still have my everquest account active but i dont even want to play it.
