First off Anti tank rifles are supposed to be introduced in the next update...who else cannot wait for this? I love hunting tanks and I was looking for something a bit more mobile and more concealable than the atg's.
Second question... anyone got any good suggestions on how to build naval rank? I have tried doing the town defense with the fairmilles but all I become is a HUGE Me109 and Bf110 target. Those 20mm sink me every time.

Darkolus if you can't find anyone to crew a DD with, fairmile defense in a hot town is the best. To survive the enemy air, take cover under a bridge. Get in your captain positon and when you look straight up and have the bridge over your captain your boat can get all shot to heck but you can still RTB for the mission success.
If your engine is out or something at least you get rescued which is better than nothing.
So I grab a fairmille and start truckin down towards a town that is under heavy attack. (we have not been able to advance much past this river for a while). After about 15 minutes of sailing the town is quiet just as I reach it. I find a nice spot where i have a good view of the eastern road that jerry has been rolling in on all day. I figure might as well have me a nice rest before I try and rtb or what ever. Out of the blue a 110 rolls in and strafes me from behind. No casualties. I switch to my AAA guns and start blazing away. Now I have never been very good at AAA gunning but I managed to nip his wing a bit and start him smoking white. He comes around for another pass and I blaze away some more this time with the twin AAA on the aft. I find that both my observers have been killed and my captain is wounded but no sinking sounds so I am golden. He comes around for his third pass and this time I am lookin strait at him with the twin pom pom's. Through some tree's I open up. One, two, three hits and away goes his wing. I get the very real satisfaction of watching his flaming 110 barrel into the tree's and explode.
The journey back north to the port was made bearable by the knowledge that I had sent a Luftie to an early and fiery grave.
I am slowly working on my naval rank. Just takes time and the right circumstances to get me in a boat vice my usual and beloved tank hunting. Thanks for the advice Patton .
