dont call me a noob but i have a question

ive been trying to find a good MMORPG

but ive been noticing sort of different styles of the games

i heard 2moons was good but i played it for a few minutes (with full graphics) at it seemed kind of cartoony

theres definetly a differnce between MMORPGs and i would like to know which ones are which

so if u wud be nice and not call me a noob list the style names and a few examples of the games

I think but im not sure that 2 moons fulls under the catorgory of Korean grinder. People who like killing thing repitivly play these type of games, generally though western players do not like that type of gameplay.

 

Theres 2 main types of styles for mms, PvE focussed this is playing agaisnt the computer with others and PvP focused this is where people focus on playing against each other.

PvE focussed games would be for instance world of warcraft, although it focuses mostly on PvE it has recently started to do the opposite and add more PvP content. Everquest series of games are pve focused tbh most mmos are PvE focussed.

PvP mmos are hard to find, and the ones you do find generally suck, they include EvE which i had more fun uninstalling tbh ;p Shadowbane which is free and rightfully so its rubbish, Planeside this is a good pvp game but a bit old, UO no idea never played it but it did set the standard for all the pvp games to follow its mostly outdated now it went through a drastic change to PvE focuss which didnt please the pvp crowd.

Any way hope that helps, best you can do is just go to the forums of the games above and ask, everyones tastes are differnet at the end of the day, for instance EvE is quite populer i just found it incredibly slow and boring for my taste.

Theres also quite a few games coming out that look good you can see them in the under development section. It is best to click on the icon next to the site name and then click their main site in the right table to find out more about them.
