I used ot play this game a LONG time ago...not sure if they deleted my account at all for being inactive but...i loved this game but there was alot that could have been added and stuff to the game.....

just wondering if its gotten better and whats been added and stuff.....

I played the game when if was first released and cancelled.  My characters I made back then are still there, I reactivated it last weak or so.

Alot has changed in the world of sb. Shrines, which I feel is one of the coolest features i have ever seen in a mmo. Race and class specific shrines that are a link to the gods. Offering items to the shrine will grant you buffs. The shrine with the most offerings on the server get the best buffs. And alot of them look really sweet. Read the info for patch 3.0. The resources will be interesting to see played out. I was thinking about it the otherday. Character speccing and creation in sb is like no other. And from the looks of it, all the games to come are not putting much into character speccing.

Give it the 13$ try, alot has changed since even april, not to mention 6months+ . And yes the character specing rocks. You can have a class with 10 different builds, each good in their own way.

I decided to some back to SB for a little while lately as I wait for other games to come out, and I've been having fun.  The servers have compacted alot to round up all of the hardcore players, so there is alot of skillful play and wars starting to happen.  The asian server got shut down, so they have become a big factor in the guild wars that have been popping up.  They basically rule the server 4am on down to late afternoon, so it makes for an interesting dynamic.

i bought this game the 1st day it came out and i loved it. the crappy part is that as soon as you buy a new mmorpg it seems like servers are always down because of stupid tech. problems. besides the lagginess due to the zone change i was very happy with this game. i was actually thinkin about coming back to it but now im more hyped up about EQII, WoW, and/or Darkfall Online. I dunno...it's a good game, but i think it was a first demonstration for what Amazing MMORPGs are yet to come.

I just have one thing to say to your claims of waiting for better games.....

Unlimited Open PvP and the ability to get revenge... you'd be amazed how many wars that starts

Also, I tested Guild Wars during that open demo... it was interesting... kind of a waste since there waste since there was no PvP or GvG (although some GvG would have been nice since the game is supposed to be based on that).  But if you want to be led around with what you should do next then Guild Wars will be right up your alley.  WoW should be good but lets see what they decide to do with it because when they go live they may find that their consumers have a completely different expectation from their game from their current group of testers during the beta (regardless of which phase it is, although open beta will give the best feed back before going live).

As for the other games coming out, they'll have plenty to offer; however, we'll see what happens when they come out.  Thus far ShadowBane may have a very long lived life if only because no other game is allowing as much freedom to do what you want as ShadowBane does (you don't have to PK in ShadowBane, however, that doesn't mean that you won't be PKed).

I reopened my account about 3 months ago and found all my toons to be errants and after a week of finding no guild I closed my account. It is still a good game but I did not have the time I would need to invest

Errrrr.. I spent the whole three days PvPing in that E3 open alpha.  Where were you? They had a system going like the Play Game system in Warctaft III, it put you with a team and an enemy team automatically. And no they were not NPCs. Two teams of 4 in one mode, then there was another one where it was two teams of 8, one had to defend this king person and the other team had to kill him.

It was really nice, I'm sorry you missed out on that.

It got alot better. I reactivated a little over a month ago and let the subscription slip again.  Was funner but still not worth it IMO.  Planning on checking back in another six months.

It was in a big group during long time and when they also stopped. I cannot see any thing the good one to only come from this game if because the whole thing was a loss of time when it was compared to the games worthy to play with the objects and the happy shining things.
