Well ive been looking into buying somewhat of a gaming rig past few months, and now that I have the money I wanna go for it.Ive been on a ton of sites like ibuypower.com and newegg.com but I dont really have a clue if im getting all the bang for my buck.
I wanna spend around 1000-1500 on a computer.I dont mind buying the parts seperately to get the best deal since Id love to try and build a computer.I dont want a computer that can run a game like Crysis but something that can run stuff like Fury,Vanguard,Battlefield 2142,etc..without any lag or system slowdown. So if you guys could point me in the right direction and give me any suggestions on where/what to buy, then that would just be awesome.

I'm building a new system this december. and aiming for best price/power ratio. although I think I am spending less than you.
graphics card: coming out soon (11th) the 8800GTS 512mb will be better than the 8800GT for a little more. its a second version of the original GTS which are 320mb and 640mb, avoid the older versions! (don't get the 320mb or 640mb GTS, honest).
Cpu: intel core duo, e6750. in terms of game performance second only to e6850 which costs alot more.
mother board: nvidia nforce 650i (make sure you get a board with 1333fsb, like the asus). way cheap board and just as good as all the ones that cost 4 times as much. p35 is also a good cheap motherboard, but 650i has room for future SLI.
those are 3 main parts.
case: antec ninehundred for a very cool system. CPU: anything above 500w, some are unrealible so check reviews. ram: corsair xms2, 2x1gb dual channel kit (note windows XP can only use 3gb ram including that on your graphics card, so only get more than 2gb ram if your on vista 64 bit.) hard drive: get a seagate or western digital one with 16 mb cache, so its faster. disk drive: get a dvd re write, x18 or 20 they are cheap and do the job.
