Hume or Elvaan?

K , ive decided to start playing ffXI again and im gunna be a monk , so im wondering if i should go hume or elvaan , heres what i think


Hume:better accuracy , weaker damage, less hp

Elvaan:bad accuaray,nice damage, pritty good hp

im thinking i should go Hume beacuse i hear its easier and cheaper to get str items then it is to get accuracy/dex rings and whatever plus if i go Hume i have the option to play any class pritty effectively

If someone could tell me which ones better in the long run and what ur opinion is, would be much appreciated thx

Well personally if u go Mnk or melee classes all the way I'd choose elvaan. I mean i notice at 26-30ish that a Hume monk in Yhoator Jungle was barely doing any damage there. I mean hand-to-hand its always 2 attacks, but not so hot damage per fist. Anyways elvaans were meant for the melee damage dealer.

if u plan on doing any other jobs like a mage or a smn, chose a hume, cuz they are an all around general char, able to do any job well, where as if u have a mage elf, lol, you'll find out pretty soon that having 100 mana at lvl 20 is not good lol

If your going to be a melee all the way go elvaan. But if your going to be mage go hume. However if you go melee as a elvaan and then switch to mage... You'll be in pain. Astral rings, +1 items, morion earrings, Phantom Tathlum, etc. But with hume you'll get a medium amout of mp meaning you won't need to buy lots of things. But most people go tarutaru for mage classes. It's all up to you!
