Player Housing worlds

Me and my dad are also Stargate and Atlantis fans. 
Since my dad has beta tested numerous kinds of mmorpg's and I have beta tested SWG with my dad during it's first stages, as well as LOTRO we would also like to beta test this game when beta launches.
Our idea is having a few worlds with all the basic set ups (maybe even a few with only one or two), (forests, volcanos, rivers, lakes, oceans, continents, deserts, swamps, caves, plains) where players can shape their own towns, cities (in unison with one another) and eventually even their own military installations. Starting from the very basics of survival and as the players survival tactics improve so does his/her ability to affect their surrounding environment (This idea could reshape game play worldwide). So that players don't have to deal mainly with leveling up their characters, but give them more ways to play instead of just exploring and killing to gain skills and abilities. This would also give many players who like to craft (myself included) the chance to enhance and explore limitless options to improve gameplay as well as have fun doing it. Just because a game is online doesn't mean it has to have a single play line.

That not bad,great idea !for player having a town like a jaffa or maybe a goauld who want some warrior!!
well, dont know how well something like this can be put together, it is hard to put together right and it needs the right background and such
i can see something like instanced "cities", something like Tau'ri get bases similar to the Cheyenne Mountain Complex, and you get it by being in a guild, each member gets a basic room and they can upgrade their rooms into bigger and bigger ones and decorate it however they want (e.g weapons, ancient artifacts from other worlds, etc), then there would be things like a gateroom, breifing, armory(where you can buy weapons and such), infirmary where you can respawn in the event you die, etc), this would be pretty much the same throughout the factions but have different versions of the bases (e.g tok'ra get underground tunnels, Goa'uld get pyramids, as do jaffa, asgard and non earth humans can have unique bases)
i cant seem to ever get on the official sgw forums, but if someone would like, post this up there, it seems like a great idea in my opinion
