I'm sorry but I think they should have just left the name Blizzard on it's own. A game just doesn't have the same "pop" when it says "Activision Blizzard" on it compared to just "Blizzard"
And their logos are long time marks, I'll be sad to see a ~Activision Blizzard~ White/Blue opening on my Diablo 3 ( ¬¬ )
I'm really glad to hear this merging, remembering all the games Activision has ever made, and sure that Blizzard is proud for his children, I'm sure new gamming experiences are about to rise next year.

People need to be blind to not see what is coming. Maybe this expansion won't have the activision blizzard. logo but the next will have it, till the only thing you see is Activision Blizzard. There are going to be changes everyone who knows the stock market knows what happens when companies merges and mmorpgs players from old school know what happenes when merges or buyouts happens.
I wonder if this is a reaction to EA buying Bioware/Pandemic? Plus I did read that Blizzard will be keeping its name and logo, there will be no Activision-Blizzard or anything like that.
Well, things are happening elsewhere too. SOE is one major player in MMO scene with plenty of MAJOR MMOs under its belt and cannot be ignored - and now with PotBS coming out in Jan, and The Agency in production. Also note the NCSoft + SOE deal for PS3 distribution - who knows where that ends up.
Most horrible words a fan (or employee for that matter) ever wants to hear:
shareholder value
In plain language that means "We plan on driving stock prices up, then bailing with our wads of cash in the near future, leaving an empty shell behind for the vultures to pick over."
