Death, no, I didnt set around for months just waiting to gloat...and truth be told..I was crossing my fingers that POTBS would be a good game to play just like most of you.
The point is really that people love to toss around thier opinions that just because someone sees the game for what it really is early on...they cant possibly be correct and they are just losers that troll these forums and try to get others not to play.
The fact is...I could create a game called "Poop Online"..."create your own custom character and compete against others to make the biggest tird." "Sit your character on the crapper and just go to town for hours on end...as you level up your character you'll gain new powers like Squeeze, Corn, and unlock many others to be the KING oF the CRAppER!".....AND you know what?....people would play it!...it would have its own fanboi base and..Heck, people would even Pre-Order it.
sure as snot...someone would come along here and say...."Um...guys..dont waste your money on this game..do you really want to play 15 bucks a month to watch your character poop in a bathroom?"...and someone would bash them and say...OMG>..another troll who just wants us NOT to play Poop Online!.
Drives me crazy......the part at the end of my post about the devs...well, that may have been a little creepy of me and self serving..but Im sorry, I just dont like mean, arrogant people....ESPECIALLY ones who have no reason to be...they are the worst.
Oh, P.S. just a sidenote.....as far as me not being "classy"....what was more classy? Me being 100% correct and having the intelligence to figure it out very early on? or that dude who came after me and flamed me for doing so?.....OR......or #3....you who ASSUME....i repeat ASSUME...who knows nothing about me that all i wanted to do was see POTBS fail? (and were 100% wrong).......please enlighten me.

The op's content is no content, no failure mechanism, no solution, so the op typed simple drival. what many people fail to do when complaining about a game is that once a problem is noted, have the solution to that problem typed right after. it never hurts.
as for POTBS, it wont be around in 6 or 8 months on the long edge of failure. the devs have stated what "they" did wrong, what they havent done is show what solution they will implement immeadiately to fix the huge game breakers. folks playing the game now should know about some of these game breakers of which i type and that have been pointed out in the reports done by all the major game sites on POTBS.
shutting down 7 servers and still having low pops on the remaining servers does not bode well for POTBS. by low pops at peak times the servers arent close to stressed, this coming straight from the devs.
the devs have failed to listen to the players on to many occasions and folks leave (gamebreakers, bugs, balance, etc ad nauseum), that simple, like any game that has potential and the devs fail to listen, one thing happens, the game dies.
but hey, on the bright side lots of new mmo's coming out in the near future, dont cry for devs that wont listen or fix things immeadiately, laugh at them and move on, taking your money with you.

i don't think i'd play if poop online were p2p; but if it were f2p, i'd play and laugh until i pooped offline.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?

I am not saying WAR and AoC will be garbage games but latest incarnations of the fanboi mentality, exactly as you describe them, can be found on forums of those games.
