Couple Noob questions

Hey every one, War looks great with all the options, pvp and pve. But with all the choice could that be the downfall? 24 classes!? thats alot which makes me wonder if they are all going to have the same skills and abilities.

Also, all the races are are unique. Including there armour so, will armour be useable by all races?

i havent heard much about the economy in this game and hows it going to work. will it be similar to WOW?

after the capital of a race has been taken in pvp does the game restart and the race get there caps and cities back?

plz help! so many questions left unanwsered on the official website.

Heres what I've garnerd from all the various grab bag faqs, newsletters, and articles ... (if i get one wrong please someone correct me im by far not an expert or have a perfect memory hehe)

The 24 classes are unique to each race including their abilities.     Take for example a dwarf rune priest and a goblin shaman.   Both healers, both with abilities and spells.  Not one spell or ability is the same as the other class.  They are how ever balanced against each other and only each other.   Classes are balanced against only that races direct enemy.  Greenskins vs Dwarves,   Empire vs Chaos, n etc.

Armor information is still Beta information so I don' tknow, I'm sure like many games there will be armor that is race specific.

Ecomony is an unknown factor in every game it all depends on how the players control it.  But I doubt it'll be like WoWs...hell I hope its not like WoW's over inflated idiot sales people market.   (they've not given us a clue on tradeskills so thats a big factor on a market too )

They've stated exactly how city capturing works numerous times so i'll make it short.   When you take a capitol you get to enjoy the spoils, rampage, burn n pillage for some X amount of time.    Eventually the city guard and the natural denizens of that city will be able to return but they have to FIGHT to take it back.   There's no such thing as a 'reset'  you have to fight and the longer you fight off the invaders the more things swing in your favor.

Look at all the newsletters and posts pertaining to content updates its there your just not seeing it :)

Please Refer to Doom Cat with all conspiracies & evil corporation complaints. He'll give you the simple explination of..WE"RE ALL DOOMED!

Ya they have not release much info on armor. Just stuff like you can dye them, and that theres tiered armor.

Actually according the the Pod Cast that covers the campaign there is a 'reset' in the war.  Once a capitol falls in game systems will eventually cause the original owning faction to reclaim it.  Once that happens the war does reset to 0 (in tier four only). The animation in the video reinforces this fact.  Take a look at the of PodCast #3 I believe.  This is actually the best way to do it.  Reset to 0, one side loses and one side wins and the battle starts again.

Podcast  #3 was made a long time ago. Things have changed a bit since then. In recent articles the devs actually do say that after the enemy has had control of the city for X amount of hours, the defending faction will have their chance to take it back. The longer the fight lasts, then the more buffs and perks the defenders will get to help them take it back. So from my understanding, it will be next to impossible to hold onto a city forever, but it could however last a very long time.

I think what they meant in the podcast when they said 'in game systems' was that the defending faction will find it easier and easier as time goes on.

Along the lines of city recapture.  It has been hinted at that while you are in control of an enemy city there will be additional content for you to experiance such as quests and some other little goodies.  Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong but I also heard mention of an "After battle factor", where after you have regained control of your capitol city from the enemy there will be a period of time before it is completely back to it's original state(Ie. vendors will not by where they should be, the city will still be on fire, you may not be able to talk to your trainers, ect ect.)

    Any additional information on this?

The problem with economy is that there are real world influences that effect it. It will be very interesting to see if they work on trying to stem the gold trade or just accept it (a la world of warcraft)

Yea well i suppose alot of you are right i just hope Mythic doesnt screw this up. This could potentialy be the game that beats WoWs record of game players.

And another thing has mythic mentioned under water expo? cause most games that dont have options like that dont do very well.

    thx for the info guys

I'm almost certain there will be no underwater action to this game. I'll see if I can find the dev answer but I'm gonna have to dig a bit I think.

I disagree though about it having the potential to make or break a game. If WAR has it in the future well thats great, one more thing. If WAR doesn't I'm still gonna WAR.

Q: Will WAR have underwater game play, or swimming for that matter?

A: Producer Lance says swimming, yes, but underwater game play, no. "It's not necessary for a great Warhammer game," he says.
